“Ughhh.” Dick cracked open one eye as his phone vibrated on the nightstand, reaching out blindly to swat at it and sending the device clattering to the floor. Though at least the buzzing stopped. “Good. More sleep.” Of course that wasn't going to happen, not when the smart watch still on his wrist started to ring. He tried his hardest to ignore it but in the end it met the same fate as the phone, ringing muffled by the rug and then silence. Until a tiny, familiar voice emanated from the speaker. A pissed sounding voice saying they were outside. Lifting himself up onto his elbows he hollered in the direction of the front door. "It's unlocked."

“Wait, wait, run that by me again.” Lois asked, somewhat shocked yet excited by what she had been told. Grabbing a pen and whatever was handy in front of her to scribble notes on, Lois turned her eager attention toward the person that had approached her, gesturing with said pen for them to take a seat near her.

“If what you’re saying is true then this could lead to something big.”

Thump! Thump! Thump!

A loud knocking startled the man from his slumber. With a sharp breath and a grumble, John Constantine pushed himself up off the sofa he had passed out on the night before. He looked a fright, clothes crumbled and hair in all manner of disarray, but John didn’t care. He wasn’t out to impress.

Thump! Thump!

“Alright, alright!” John called out, getting up and making his way to the door. “This had better be good.” He muttered under his breath as he swung the door open. He eyed the visitor critically, lips curling into a slight smirk.

“Well, this is unexpected…”

This was the third planet he’d explored in the microverse, and he was hoping he’d find what he was searching for on it’s surface. Wearing the under-suit already, Ray picked up ATOM and headed through his small ship to the entrance hatch. “Leia, hold the fort while I’m away please.”

Of course Doctor Palmer. Be careful. The ship’s AI responded, her disembodied voice echoing through the hallway. Activating the suit, he closed off the helmet completely, better to be cautious until he knew the oxygen levels in the planet’s atmosphere. He’d open it up later if it was safe to do so. It didn’t take him long to get to the nearest settlement, a small town by the looks of things, with technology equivalent to their own on Earth from what he could gather. Checking the readout on the suit a smile came to his face as the result he was hoping for flashed up. He’d found the anomaly which had disrupted the timelines.

“These fries are up there with some of the best I have ever eaten.” Wally claimed, popping a few more fries into his mouth, chewing thoughtfully before continuing. “And that’s saying something because I have eaten a lot of fries.”

The luminous signal shot out into the night air, lighting up the ever present clouds that hung over the city with a cry for help. It didn’t take long for Batman to reach the rooftop where the signal was coming from and after a few brief words with the commissioner, Batman set off into the night again - mission accepted.

Arriving at the point where the prison transport crashed, Batman lurked in the safety of the shadowed rooftops and tuned his comms to listen in on the chatter with the police. Five criminals had escaped the transport. Two of the guards were found nearby, knocked out and now on their way to Gotham General. The other two guards were missing.

It seemed like an easy case but Batman knew to recover the criminals in a timely manner, it would be best to call in for backup. Opening the compact computer hidden in his right gauntlet, Batman sent out open comms to those he trusted most. “If you are available, report in.” His voice low but holding the authority of a leader. “Five prisoners have escaped a transport making its way to Blackgate Prison. Considered armed and dangerous. I need eyes and ears on the ground and watching over us.”
