Wintertime Vacation

It was great that Lucifer and Maze joined her and Dan and Trixie on their Christmas vacation to the mountains. Dan brought his own date, as Maze made herself available to babysit Trixie while Chloe and Lucifer spent time together.
But now they were all sledding down the hill by their log cabin. Chloe held the reigns and grinned, adjusting her knit beanie on her head with a hand. She sat down on the sled, waiting for Lucifer to sit behind her.
“You ready to slide down the sled with me?“
Lucifer made an apprehensive face, “This is what you call fun? This dreadfully hand numbing cold, an oddly shaped board, and a hill? I thought more of a nice warm fire in the lodge, not racing down a snow capped hill toward a--” He narrowed his eyes and leaned over the edge of the hill. “A lake? That’ll obviously end well.”
Lucifer wasn’t afraid, he just wasn’t sure this was his sort of activity. He rubbed his hands together and pulled on a pair of leather gloves, looking uncomfortable in his tailored wool coat and Prada scarf, his ears were tinged pink from the elements and they oddly burned from the cold. He may have been able to create a freezing atmosphere in Hell, but actually experiencing it, was not his glass of bourbon.
