did the ex dub just confirm they/them multi like when the announcer is introducing team rainbow they use they and multi is the only member the announcer says "blading on theyre own" and so far up to episode 3 of the dub and some of the meet the bladers shorts i havent heard a use of she or her so if this is the case thats really cool and even if they do use she or her at some point thats still she/they and honestly thats actually really good for just being so casual

spoilers for beyblade x up to chapter 14 of the manga

nanairo multi was done dirty in the final battle of the beyblade x manga.

so context multi shows is amazing and we dont learn much about her until we meet her sister nanairo shiguru who is a member of the current champion team of the x tower team pendragon and we learn that 1 they are sisters and 2 that multi has lost to her sister 10,000 times in childhood.

this very obviously set up multi to finally get her win in the final battle, going into the final battle the only thing i was certain of was multi vs shiguru with multi winning but that isnt what happened

the match begins in chapter 13 with multi and shiguru battling and we get so see multi on the backfoot as theres no real way to counter shigurus playstyle, but then as sges about to lose she uses her ace using the power of her opponents attack to use the xtreme dash with a stamina type (usually only attack and balance types use the xtreme dash) this is something unexpected and it hits and both beys are sent flying end of chapter. this was amazing as it perfectly handled how multi was determined we got a little more backstory and we really got to see her for the first time desperate to win for personal reasons.

then chapter 14 happened we open back with both beys falling and multi loses shiguru wins now full disclosure i havent read the chapter because it isnt translated so i have just seen it but it hurts so much as shiguru walks over and congratulates her for the match and she smiles but as she walks back to her team she just breaks down into tears and it hurts so much cause more than anyone she deserved that win. she was consistently evolving and adpating in the manga she hadnt lost to anyone except shiguru since kamen x and she was the only character who really should have gotten a win in the final arc.

if bird lost noone would be surprised he is yet to win a single battle so i was hoping he would get a win but imagine if the one to lose in the final was kamen x that would hit so much harder if multi won and then kamen x lost it would create such a tense atmosphere going into birds match as we really wouldn't know if hes going to win, but as it is kamen x will either win and it will still be tense going into birds match but it wont be as good or kamen x will lose and it will just feel extra mean.

i still think beyblade x is amazing but this i do feel is a mistake
