SquareRoot8 & Partisia launch FracQtion For Quantum Security
Partisia and Squareroot8 unveil FracQtion, a quantum-safe hybrid platform. Today, FracQtion, a jointly constructed gadget to protect important sectors against quantum computing, was launched, advancing global digital security. The platform is the result of a strategic relationship between quantum-safe hardware innovator Squareroot8 (SG) and cryptographic software leader Partisia (DK). A Joint Product Agreement was inked alongside the announcement, indicating both businesses' commitment to global post-quantum security.
FracQtion was designed to defend high-trust areas like telecoms and finance against quantum decryption. The key novelty is its hybrid network architecture, which combines quantum technologies and advanced cryptography. The ultimate solution creates a lasting security standard by constructing a quantum-resistant communication network.
Bridge the Gap: A True Hybrid Method
FracQtion's security is built on Partisia's Multi-Party Computation (MPC), Squareroot8's Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG), and Quantum Key Distribution (QKD). This synthesis provides cryptographic and physical security. Partisia's expertise in Multi-Party Computation enables private, policy-driven procedures that protect access and identities during data processing. Partisia relies on MPC to streamline communication and build digital trust without compromising data. It helps firms negotiate stringent compliance while gathering insights and creating beneficial connections. Hardware from Squareroot8 completes this software layer. QRNG ensures new, testable entropy with a self-verifying engine. Innovative and affordable quantum-safe communication devices and solutions based on QRNG and QKD are made by Squareroot8 using patented technology. Combining these quantum components with MPC creates FracQtion's hybrid network. FracQtion's main feature is "data fractioning". This exclusive system distributes sensitive data across a secure network, ensuring no one can access it all. This technology safeguards against current and future advanced computing dangers.
Combating ‘Harvest Now, Decrypt Later’
The current threat landscape, known as “harvest now, decrypt later,” puts institutions at risk of attackers grabbing encrypted data now to decrypt it later when powerful quantum computers become widely available. A solution like FracQtion is needed. The identification of who you’re interacting with and the security of that communication is important with the looming threat of quantum computing', Partisia CEO Kurt Nielsen said, emphasising the product's urgency. A strong, long-lasting defence against the ‘harvest now, decrypt later’ threat, this device is timely. Only when two companies work together can this technology and software perform a miracle. FracQtion lets CIOs and CISOs modularly build quantum resiliency. Most crucially, it protects private data from quantum decryption without replacing existing systems. Unlike “black boxes” built of hardware or software, FracQtion has a tiered design that is flexible, auditable, and quantum-ready. It incorporates interoperability and changing compliance needs. Squareroot8 CEO Cristofer Quek said, “This cooperation with Partisia goes beyond a standard integration. Quantum-safe random number generators complement their multi-party computation expertise. They combine to develop a system with unmatched security, giving clients a defence against threats that no single organisation could mount.
Global Deployment and Singapore's Innovation Hub Status
Singapore and European financial institutions are engaging in early trial deployments, proving the alliance has matured. These installations demonstrate the critical need for cryptographic and physical assurance methods. The launch expands Partisia's presence in Singapore's important digital infrastructure, including telecoms, financial services, and vital systems. The finding further boosts Singapore's quantum innovation hub status. The National Quantum Strategy (NQS), part of RIE2025, states that the development matches Singapore's national priorities. The NQS is committed to protect digital infrastructure with SGD 300 million in quantum research, talent development, and corporate partnerships. FracQtion's Singapore launch establishes a standard for scalable, quantum-safe infrastructure solutions in other digital economies. The strategic decision to establish this foundation for terrestrial high-trust industries comes after Squareroot8 and NuSpace demonstrated earlier this year how to use quantum technology and advanced cryptography to enable secure communication via nanosatellite powered by QRNGs using only a single-board device, even in operationally challenging environments. FracQtion protects critical data communications with cryptographic and physical layers in a quantum-resistant architecture. FracQtion becomes necessary when worldwide quantum-safe communication standards grow.
