Filming, Day 3 - Scene 8
Today we went down to the trading estate to film the scenes with Fil (Henchmen) in them, as this was the only day he was free in the next week or so - and obviously he needs to focus on his own project as well, so we don’t want to take him away to film too much. I feel like we really should have more of a script before we bring Fil to film with us, so we don’t waste too much of his time, but maybe this scene needs scripting/planning out on location.
Unfortunately today didn’t go very well because we’d already worked out one sequence with Fil in it, but we needed to work out what lead up to that point so there wasn’t a huge, obvious continuity flaw - although at the time this wasn’t very clear, as Rhys and Al had just said “oh, we’re gonna go plan out this bit”, and walked off. This was frustrating because it was a really windy day, so although I’d heard what they said, Fil and Isaac hadn’t, and they just walked off without even telling them what they were doing.
We only managed to get a couple of shots filmed with Fil in it, which makes me feel like we wasted his time, but they insisted we film the bits that Fil isn’t in as well. It also didn’t help that Rhys realized after quite a few takes that he’d been aiming his weapon by closing the wrong eye, so we had to film that bit again. On Fil’s part, when he did film, it was great acting. Unfortunately, because we didn’t get all his parts done, he’ll need to come down and film with us here again.
In the end we finished filming because the camera ran out of charge.
No, you got all sneaky and snuck around and snook that vote away from me. And I know this because earlier I sneaked and snooked around and Jammy was supposed to vote for me. The snooker has become the snort.
Leslie Knope to Ron Swanson I cannot keep from laughing hysterically. Don't know how they made it through this scene with straight faces.
This is my assignment #2 for the course Introduction to Music Production I'm taking from Berklee on Coursera.org, by Loudon Stearns.
