Resurgery with Bone Graft Augmentation This young man had suffered multiple facial fractures in a road traffic accident. He had been operated in his hometown, but the surgery had been improperly performed. There had been loss of maxillary and mandibular bone from the right side and this had resulted in facial asymmetry. He had also lost most of his right sided maxillary posterior teeth. Bone grafts were harvested from his ribs. The infected plates from his previous surgery were removed. Bone grafts were used to augment the defects in his maxilla and mandible. Dental implants will be placed once the grafts have completely consolidated with the underlying alveolar bone.
