The fact that he was pushing her away and wouldn’t let her was killing the fortune teller. “I know I can’t relate to what you are going through...” She answered softly. She wished she could because it would probably make things easier. “But I’m trying, Jimmy.” She looked up at him with sad, hazel eyes and reached a hand out to stroke his leg. “I love you. Stop pushing me away.”

Campbell had been seated on the couch for only a few minutes now. It began with a quick chatter with a familiar face, and before he knew it, Campbell was already coming over. His face was slightly red, and his fingers wrestled as he waited for Ryder to return from the kitchen. “You have a nice place,” he said. Being a stranger to a new place was quite difficult to Campbell. “I have to say, I’ve never really came over to someone’s house just like that. We would usually schedule and such beforehand, so I’m sorry if I’m slightly embarrassing,” he scratched the back of his head.
