tbh I’m kind of tired of showrunners who tell the audience they can interpret a same sex relationship however they want? like just show that it’s explicitly a romantic relationship so there’s no question about it. i feel like it’s because of dan levy and sc but we really do deserve better when it comes to queer rep
oh I agree with you and I understand where you’re coming from. dan levy really did create the most incredible queer show and I am so grateful for that. I wish there were more writers and show runners that weren’t afraid or uncomfortable with bringing LGBTQ+ individuals to their shows instead of queer baiting. when they purposefully leave out someone’s sexuality or relationship status then that’s a problem. It just creates more erasure and less representation for us which absolutely sucks especially for those who barely see themselves portrayed on screen. there have been so many shows that had the opportunity to make someone feel seen for the first time in their lives and they just completely blew it. shows like schitt’s creek are changing the game and i am so damn grateful for it.
