It was supposed to be a normal week. The gems were doing some hard core missions he couldn't follow on. His dad was out getting car wash supplies and wouldn't be back for a while, so it was just him at the temple. Normally, while lonely, this wouldn't be too much of a problem. He'd go out to see some friends, order some pizza, beat some video games, etc. Standard routine, right? Well, not this time. This time he'd come down with a cold. Also not really a problem, but it was darn miserable. At first it wasn't too bad, but over time, he was just too tired to do much of anything. He was running out of cough medicine and his illness was showing no sign of stopping. Steven laid on the couch, propped up by pillows, wrapped in sweaty blankets. Raspy snoring, surrounded by dirty tissues, the sick little boy was suffering. As a cold hand touched his head, he coughed and blearily looked up at this new development.
