Day 2/150 for Eddissy Prompts
2. “Wait a minute. Are you jealous?”
Based off this list.
——
Eddie quickened his pace to his locker, he was running late for third period and he still had to grab his textbook.
It was a newfound action, to care about being late to class or grabbing his textbook, but Chrissy and Wayne would have his head if he slacked off this year.
Eddie stumbled to his locker and punched in the code to his and Chrissy’s shared locker.
Before he could grab his textbook, a piece of paper fell out and onto the floor at his feet. Picking it up he opened it and read it’s contents.
Chris, can we talk?

Eddie felt his blood run cold. What did Jason want?
He didn’t have time to think much longer, the bell rang signaling his tardiness and he scrambled to grab his textbook and rush to class shoving the note into the front binding.
Eddie spent most of third period mulling over the note.
Eddie and Jason didn’t get along, and that’s an understatement. Ever since he had the town hunt him down and frame him for murders he didn’t commit, he’s done his best to avoid the direction of Jason. For Chrissy’s sake, but if he tried to make a move on his girl, white flag be damned.
When Eddie saw Chrissy during lunch, he carefully unfolded the note and handed it to her, not meeting her eyes.
“This was in the locker, it’s meant for you so,” he stated as nonchalantly as he could.
Chrissy read the note and looked at Eddie. He avoided her gaze focusing on the food in front of him.
“Well, it’s about time for an apology. He should’ve approached us at the beginning of the year, not the end.”
“Mhm,” he comments trying to keep his anger in check.
“Eddie,” she said softly.
“Hmm,” he asked still not looking at her.
“Wait a minute. Are you jealous?”
That causes Eddie to drop his fork and look straight to her, “hey hey hey, you can’t really think that I, Eddie the freak Munson, would ever feel inferior to that, that,” he struggled to find the word pointing in a different direction.
“Eddie, nothing in this world could take me from you,” she says reaching for his hand and intertwining their fingers.
“Pfft,” he looks away again.
She reaches for his jaw, turning his head to face her, “you fought Vecna, demon bats, and dead vines for me. Nobody can top that.”
“Yeah I guess that’s a little better than a basketball championship,” he smiles down at her.
“Way better,” she pecks his cheek crumpling the letter in her other hand.
