Timmy Thomas: “Why Can't We Live Together” b/w “Funky Me” Dutch 7″ (1972)

If you thought Spain’s sleeve was an eyesore, have a look at Netherlands onw version of “Why Can’t We Live Together”. Dragonfruit? Muppet colors? Leafy vegetarian salads? Lime and grape sodas? It’s anything short of vomit-inducing. If there’s any consolation, the type used for Thomas’ song titles (Mumbo SSK) makes us want to grab the nearest Atari 2600 game off our shelves and give it a nostalgic go for 15 minutes.

Impromptu gaming shopping spree at Bay Shore's Blast From The Past. Last time I visited in November, they had a storewide 2-for-1 sale. Last weekend, they announced they're re-locating to another larger space, so everything (minus game consoles) was 50% off. I went as soon as I could, and purchased all I missed out on or simply deemed good games - just for collecting purposes. I also made a second visit on Saturday to grab what I overlooked before. No telling when Blast- will have another sale like this, but there's other titles I'm still on the hunt for. Enjoy the wasted youth.
