His initial thought is that, perhaps, he should decline. It would be the proper thing to do, the responsible one. Unsure of the customs of this kingdom, and it's practices of relations between men, Eoghan is not willing to make a scene over an oops - at least not in this matter - nor is he inclined to be lynched or otherwise dealt with. It would be the proper reply, the right thing to do in the situation. And yet -

And yet, he cannot stop himself from smiling brilliantly at the offer, from taking it. Laying his fingertips in the outstretched hand of the other, and allowing himself to be swept up into it because, well...

Try as she might not to appear like a tourist, Birdie is every bit one in the moment, as she stands in the shadow of the Glasgow Cathedral - although it's hard to blame her for that. For a girl like her, a girl that liked history and found pleasure in certain forms of older architecture (read: all cathedrals, churches, buildings of worship), the building is a feast for her eyes, and far better a sight in person than it has ever been portrayed in pictures.

Speaking of pictures, the camera in her hands is not helping that tourist appearance - especially not as she takes one too many steps backwards while peering through the lens and -

The sound she makes when she trips over the raised sidewalk is quiet, startled, but the sound her camera makes as it flies out of her hands and onto old stone? Horrific.

deadwar » ghost ㅤ » ghost & roach. before the fire, before the betrayal they were a team, yanno? what was it you sent me earlier? not romantic, not platonic, but a secret third thing (so devoted the lines blur.) roach and ghost early days goodness. roach isn't even in the 141, he's just another soldier assigned to be under ghost's command - unfortunately he's annoyingly good at everything and has the worst luck ever, and ghost's just his co tryna keep him from dying right fucking there.

roseypeached » alex keller ㅤ » keller & yeti. you know, during that time period graves and shepherd are like 'let's work with farah's people' post las almas. danny's just a guy that has to duck to get into every fucking building, and keller's unfortunately witness to it. danny's also the only soldier in the shadows that looks at the prosthetic leg and goes 'huh' and promptly does not treat him any differently. he makes faces anytime mexico comes up, looks vaguely displeased whenever he hears shepherd's voice, and is immediately tripping over himself to follow farah's orders because he's got fucking manners.

roseypeached » mace ㅤ » mace & birdie. listen, she's nikto's pet, ergo krueger's... step... pet? she's small and sweet but she's a great shot and an even better cook. he probably has no idea why she's here, but she's willing to prove it by being as annoyingly useful as possible. but if he's mean to her, she will cry and nikto will absolutely murder him. ps - she WILL think his crush on ghost is the cutest thing and just watch them with one of those like. cute little happy faces. ㅤ » mace & krueger. not quite frenemies, because they're neither friends nor enemies. just two dudes that work together sometimes. murder pals. krueger rolls his eyes a lot and teases over ghost, mace tries to do the same but always gets the smuggest looks over it and suggestions of 'you jealous?'. mace is like... the third person he'd go to if he's injured, which is a lot, and probably one of a handful that knows of his wanted status.

It's not an unreasonable assumption to make, that Hunter would severely injure the younger man. They had similar reputations, but when it came down to it, Hunter was older, his history was longer, his reputation heavier. In all honesty, he probably deserved it - to be thought of that way. As an abuser, especially of a younger romantic partner.

And yet, does it make his blood boil. His teeth grit something painful. Fingers clench around the cigarette he'd been playing with, twirling 'round his fingers like a cancerous baton.

Thankfully, the moment is short lived. Smoothed over as Hunter glances from Frank's beaten face, to the doorway were a cop still lurked, then back again. That boiling pot of rage lowering to a slow simmer as he considers his options carefully - not just the ones he had in the moment, but the ones that would come later, when Frank was out of the hospital, and Hunter had the ability to do what he did best: Seek and Destroy.

"Yeah," The jovial tones are fake, that fire in his eyes undiluted despite his rare show of control. "Bet they fucking did, baby."

Birdie Monroe has been described as delicate before, like a flower that bruised and lost petals with the lightest touch. Petite and breakable in appearance - and at five foot, two inches, with a head full of cherubic curls and stars in her eyes, she can't blame them for thinking so, can't blame him for being concerned with her fall. With the way her wheel had gotten caught in a groove in the sidewalk and taken her down like she was an enemy force. It certainly wasn't the first time roller skating had led to her doom - but at least this time it was just her and her alone, no bystander dragged into her mess.

No, just Birdie by herself stumbling and hitting the street hard - hard enough for bruises to already be forming, and the skin on her knees to be unfortunately... removed.

He'd been the first to reach her, the gentle man with a mohawk. Scars on his hands at exact odds with the way he'd helped her. The way he'd pulled her up and pressed her onto a step so she didn't fall again. His eyes so blue, so wide with concern, that she can't help but pat his shoulder. Grin wide up at him, her cheeks flush with not shame, but exhilaration over her latest (mis)adventure.

"Oh, gosh, yes. I'm fine." There's blood dribbling its way down one of her knees, the soft cotton of her light skirt sticking to it like glue. She ignores it - it's just a flesh wound and she doesn't want him to worry further. "I just - wasn't paying attention to the crack, I'm - I'm so sorry you had to witness that, sir."

MISC DROP ; SOAP

soap's specialty is explosives, but he's a good shot with rifles too. unfortunately, the combination of these means that he either he wears earplugs or he goes deaf - and even then hearing loss is a damn near promise for his future. (later in life, he goes mildly deaf in his right ear.)

you can call him a himbo, he won't be offended by this - because he kind of is. not so much when it comes to his job - both his young age, and his callsign, speak to his skill level - but outside of that he has a tendency to be a bit of a goofball... a puppy if you will.

no haggis jokes. he genuinely can't remember the last time he saw the meal, let alone had it personally. he is a fan of scotch though. obviously.

he has a flat not far from the base they more frequently call home. it's a tidy little thing, and it looks well lived in despite the fact that, you know, he's barely there.

his journals are his private space, and he's downright feral about it if someone tries to take a peek without his permission. its where he puts his post-mission thoughts (redacted, of course) and other things - like mini sketches of things on or off base, people he knows, animals, and sometimes landscapes.

he's not afraid of dogs. he just is incredibly wary of them, especially when on duty. off duty, he doesn't want to be around them either, but he'll restrain himself from his usual methods of keeping clear of them out of respect for people around him. (read: he won't kick your dog if its in the same room as him. but he will put as much distance between them as he can and keep an eye on it the entire time.)

his discomfort with dogs is not a joke. please do not joke about it, especially in front of him. it's fucked up to make fun of someone's (completely rational) phobia, thanks.
