My Villain Academia (Inverse)

First off, you’re gonna have to ask @fuckoffdeku​ for a bit more details, cause as much as I pester her for specifics and for artwork, she runs away, so this isn’t really that fully developed, but I LOVE this idea so I went with it.

If you were in the kingdom of Hyrule, welcome now to Lorule.

Imagine, a world where everything is the same, but exactly the opposite. Welcome to, the negaverse. In this universe, everything you know to be true in your world (the canon bnha verse) is the exact opposite as it is here. Yuuei High School? Nope. Welcome to Villain High School, a prestigious school where we take the worst of the worst and train them to become the worst of villains possible.

Todoroki is accepted through a recommendation from his mother, a big name villain in Japan, and is excited to learn and meet all of his classmates. With everything being the opposite, Todoroki is nothing but smiles and happiness, his bubbly personality allowing him to quickly make friends with most of his classmates. His smile hardly ever falls, even if he’s in danger he’ll just smile through it and approach the situation eager to come out on top. He cares about those close to him perhaps a little bit too much, following them around like a puppy and occasionally getting reaffirmed that they do indeed care about him as well.

Todoroki knows how to work a conversation well and can be a bit manipulative because of it. If a fight starts and Todoroki is found somewhere nearby, there’s a good chance that he instigated it somehow. Because of his manipulative tendencies, he’s also able to keep those close to him unawares, tricking them sometimes into affirmation of their feelings.

In this verse, Todoroki’s hair is black (right) and blue (left), he has no scar, and his eyes are one color (either black or blue depending on the artist who draws him). He’s proud of both of his quirks and uses them constantly to his advantage or even to help others when it’s too hot or cold outside.

You Raised Me To Beat You, So Beat You I will (V3)

Todoroki carries on throughout high school at Yuuei basically like he does in canon. It’s only later on after the issue with his father keeps getting dredged up—at the provisional license exam, during the internship after finally getting his license, being compared to Endeavor in his third year, falling behind to Midoriya and ending up just like his father, etc.—that he begins to lose sight of what he wants out of his life. Did he really ever want to become a hero? When he was little and looked up to All Might, he thought he did, but look at All Might now, retired and a worthless old man. He was starting to become just like Endeavor, falling behind in a society that demands too much and being blinded by his anguish.

After months of thinking about what he wanted to do in the future after graduation, he came to realize one thing. All of his suffering in life was for just one purpose. Todoroki was to beat Endeavor. He was determined to not become anything like his father, so he set forward on the path he thought would achieve that.

After graduating from Yuuei, Todoroki becomes a sidekick at some small-time hero agency, but messes up on purpose to help the villains. He does that enough times that by the time the agency grew suspicious of him, he had already formed enough connections to make his move. Forming an allegiance with the villains he helped before, he started pillaging and challenging pro heroes, ending some of their careers. He continues his life of crime, hoping to one day have enough momentum and power to defeat Endeavor and maybe eventually dismantle the hero profession altogether.

Heroics Is A Lie; So I Guess I’ll Lie Too (V2)

Has the same background as the first villain verse Fuck You Old Man, but while meeting the League of Villains when he was skipping his interview with Yuuei, All For One suggests that Todoroki does go through with high school, so he can spy on the heroes from within. Tomura and the rest of the league is a little wary at first, but Todoroki assures him that even if he went to Yuuei normally, he “wouldn’t be there to make friends.” They let him go to Yuuei, and he goes to the league once a week for reports as keeping anything on his person or computer would be too easily traceable.

He helps All Might as USJ (like he did in the canon verse) as part of an agreement with All For One kept secret from Tomura so he can get the experience to defeat All Might on his own later and to keep everyone at Yuuei from suspecting him. Thought Todoroki hardly interacts with his classmates, that doesn’t mean he isn’t paying attention to them. He reports on their quirks and personalities as well to the League, updating them only when people (read Midoriya) makes substantial progress in developing their quirks.

Fuck You Old Man (V1)

This is a villain verse where Endeavor single-handedly destroys all of Todoroki’s desire to become a hero. After his mother left the house and was placed in a mental hospital, Todoroki started lashing out at Enji more and more resulting in harsher punishments and crueler treatments. Eventually, he is consumed with hatred for the hero profession. He blames the current society for creating a man like Enji, for allowing Enji to be the 2nd ranked hero, for putting so much pressure on heroes to be perfect that it nearly destroys his father which ultimately destroyed his family. He begins to adopt ideals similar to that of Stain and that heroics is a paltry profession that warps the way society thinks (before Stain becomes the hero killer).

Just before he’s set to start school at UA, he runs away from home and turns to villainy. He doesn’t harm innocent people, no that would make him no better than his father. Instead, he pays attention to the activities of various heroes, determined to get in their way when doing their job. Eventually, he’s picked up by the League of Villains (after helping a small-time member escape the pursuit of a hero) and learns the truth behind All Might’s quirk, One for All. Upset that because the number 1 hero lives a lie he was born to suffer, Todoroki falls into despair and aims to end all heroics alongside the League of Villains, Tomura all too excited to have robbed the heroes of one of their toys.

Todoroki never starts high school (as high school isn’t part of compulsory education in Japan) and lives with the League of Villains instead. He quickly works his way up to a fairly high enough position and is allowed to go with them on USJ raid. Todoroki enjoyed the raid, seeing the pros understand who he was and know that they lost a potential hero to villainy. After seeing All Might’s weakened state and knowing that he’s only adding to the lies he’s telling the world, Todoroki’s hatred and scorn towards heroes just grows stronger, despite anything any of the 1-A kids might say.
