Hear me out on this.
We need a lie detector test, drug tests, registration and psych evaluation on people if they decide to run for office, on ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT. If they pass those tests and evaluations, they’re in. If not, NO WAY IN HELL ARE YOU GETTING IN! (Trump and his lackeys are really good examples of what happens when power goes unchecked.)
Also, there should be rules in place that if they’re involved with any far right hate groups or have committed any hate crimes against minorities, THEY SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO RUN FOR OFFICE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Here’s what I’m thinking for President, Vice President, Congress, Senators, Governors, Lieutenant Governors & Mayors, SECRETARIES, TREASURERS, etc. (Both political parties for fairness): Every four years that they’re in office, they should repeat the tests, evaluations and registration before their campaign is official. If they fail the psych evaluation and drug tests, THEY CANNOT RUN AGAIN! Any political party who is caught associated with hate groups AT ANY TIME, CAMPAIGN OR NOT, should be stripped of their duties and REMOVED FROM OFFICE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. (Republicans will SURELY FAIL WITH THIS! Synema and Manchin too since they act more like Republicans than Democrats!)
SUPREME COURT, FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL (If there are term limits in the future): If the President nominates a person, (from either party), they MUST BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE DRUG TEST, PSYCH EVALUATION, REGISTRATION AND LIE DETECTOR TEST. If they pass, they’re nominated and sent to the Supreme Court in the usual way. If not, NOT A CHANCE IN HELL. Every four to six years that they’re at their post, they should be required to undergo and repeat the lie detector test, drug tests, registration and psych evaluation. If they fail the drug tests and the pysch evaluation, and if they’re caught with hate groups, THEY SHOULD BE IMPEACHED AND REMOVED FROM THE SUPREME COURT EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. NO EXCEPTIONS.
If We the People don’t do something to hold the higher ups accountable for their actions, just as they hold us accountable for ours every single day, then the American experiment has failed!
I for one agree with all of this. I once thought that I could get away with anything since I was rich, but I soon found out via Mary Cratchit and Rani, that it shouldn’t be the case. Money can make us do terrible things when we think that our power is unlimited and can go unchecked.
