A bit of a dark thought, but let's say that the saniwa found out that if they sacrifice their life they'll be able to put an end to the war permanently. Because they are dedicated to the cause they want to go through with it 'for the good of the many'. Could I have general reactions of the boys finding out about their beloved Master's decision? Especially if the saniwa says something like 'We're here to win the war. If this is what it takes to end it, then why should we not do it?'

• No matter what they say no one is happy about this solution. There will be no accepting that as the first answer, how could they consider losing you well before they’ve exhausted all other options?

• Types like Yagen, Doudanuki and Nikkari would try to not completely dismiss the idea as much as they hate it. They don’t want to ignore your feelings about how important the war is and what you’re willing to do. They understand that sometimes you truly have to do whatever is necessary but they still don’t want it to be the answer. They likely get yelled at for not immediately dismissing it. 

• Types like Hasebe, Yasusada and Fudou would go on the verge of hysterics. They don’t want to lose another master, they don’t want to go against your orders but they sure as hell don’t want to consider that option either. They’re emotional, the ones lashing out at those who will consider it. They’re scared, and even though it’s selfish they’re struggling to see the sacrifice as worth it.

• I think types like Mikazuki, Iwatooshi and Juzumaru while afraid won’t dismiss your willingness to do it. They will respect ultimately the decision is up to you but won’t fail to point out to you how many lives you have touched and that if there is time that can be spent looking for other options you should consider them before being so willing to throw your life away.

Hello! I hope you're doing better since your hiatus/update post! I'm kind of new to TKRB and idk if you've done an ask similar to this, but do you have any reactions/thoughts of the swords if the Saniwa knew more offensive magic and insists on joining the swords in case things go bad/actually does join when the sortie goes bad? (1/2)

I’m doing better all the time thank you for the concern!! I do believe I did some variants of active Saniwa in past requests but it’s definitely enough to work with and an interesting idea!! I hope you enjoy.

Hasebe

• He will be really torn, he has strong protective urges clashing with his desire to listen to any orders you could have so it doesn’t seem right to ever just tell you to stay at the Citadel.

• It’s not like he’s never fought with a master before, that’s how swords work but he felt things should be different now he has a human form. He is no longer limited in how he can serve or protect his master - but that won’t make him any less uneasy when you’re throwing yourself into the action. 

• He might try once or twice to approach the subject and convince you that they can fight without you present, it’s why you summoned them at all but doesn’t have it in him to argue with you over it. He doesn’t want to be disrespectful or seem anything but entirely devoted to you by doubting you.

• He can’t help worrying about you so much, no matter how many times he sees you holding your own and being a help on the battlefield he’ll be distracted with a desire to protect you. A good talking to might snap him out of it but no matter what you know he’s going to feel very self-sacrificial when it comes down to it if that’s what he sees as the best way to protect you.

Kousetsu

• He doesn’t really want to weigh in on the argument other swords are having of whether or not you should be on the battlefield. He doesn’t even wish to fight, how would it be right of him to talk others down?

• Kousetsu will still quietly worry about your insistence despite that. War, battles to the death, these things can’t be taken lightly. As much as they trouble him personally more than anything they make him concerned for others.

• His quiet way of showing response rather than ever talking about it is for a change to want to go to the battlefield. It may be a little obvious of him but rather than worrying and doubting he thinks the only thing he can do is support you and do his part to make sure none of them are ever made to regret letting you go out and fight.

• Unlike Hasebe, Kousetsu will be moved a lot by the way you carry yourself on the front lines. You are their leader, not a fragile child. It is wrong for any sword warrior to let their anxieties restrain you from doing the things you truly wish to do. He still doesn’t want you putting yourself in unnecessary danger, but he wants to trust your decisions and watch you continue to grow. 

Yamanbagiri Kunihiro

• He will take this insistence in a bad way, to him more than anything it reads that you don’t trust the swords to get the job done. Or rather, you don’t trust him. 

• Yamanbagiri can’t help taking it personally, you summon them to fight but won’t leave the fighting up to them? Though of course it always comes down to his negative self issues more than he thinks you’re looking down on all the sword warriors. But if you always feel like you need to be there to save them it just means they aren’t doing good enough. • Unfortunately, of course he doesn’t want to talk about it. You’re the one in charge; they just need to respect your decisions. It honestly doesn’t come down to him doubting you, you’re the Saniwa it isn’t strange that you’re powerful. In fact he really does still want to protect you when you’re out on a mission he just doesn’t know if he’s capable of it.

• If you’re able to get him into opening up, that makes the big difference. Once his negativity is quashed there’s nothing stopping him from supporting you. He feels almost reassured when you’re on the battlefield even if it’s risky. He is a copy, he already has so much to prove and even if it’s intimidating having you by his side gives him all the time to prove himself. I really think he’d be a surprisingly strong voice for letting you fight with them. Even if he’s never had faith in himself he trusts you.

Sorry for disappearing..

It’s been a very long time since I’ve been back on this tumblr. The last time I tried to return… To put the explanation simply it was just before a lot of really bad started happening in my life and I lost the motivation. Things got really hard, honestly they’re still really hard to a point I’m pretty actively feeling miserable. I’ll spare the details since it’s oversharing in a space where many might not even remember my blog but what happened beat me down a lot, every time I started to feel better something new would come along to knock me down. I had deleted all the answers I had typed up to people since I did have requests half-finished for my return to activity. I felt afraid of being in any spaces I’d been treated well and it made me leave here unfinished despite my intention to return.

Honestly I feel a little out of touch with touken ranbu now, I haven’t chased up the tls to read for new characters since maybe… Chougi? And I can’t remember when I read a kiwames line. It of course wouldn’t be hard to read up and re-immerse myself. Mainly I’m here because it’s been nagging at me that I never finished up here and I want to at least finish up those requests that have for a long long time been in my ask box. Because writing here for everyone was the last time I can remember some comfort and happiness before things went so bad for me. I don’t know if there’s still a want for this blog but I have always felt bad for never finishing the things lined up so I’m correcting that.

So excuse the incoming spam, this message will be put just before I go posting answers to everyone. I miss the swords, I miss how good this space made me feel as a creator and just being amongst a nice community lol. Regardless here will always remain up as an archive. I’m a little rough at writing them all but I hope the catch up isn’t too painful to look at sweats.

Another obon has come and gone and BOY did I suffer this time O_O so here we go. I request reactions from Ookurikara, Yagen, Sengo, Hasebe to a sunburned chaffed saniwa returning from work outside on a blazing summer day. Silly Saniwa forgot to put on sunscreen at the start and is burned and cannot move later on when the day is over. What do the swords do for a saniwa who is all sore and can't move around for a while because they made a mistake? XD

Sorry i’ve taken so long to get to it i hope you haven’t had any nasty repeats of sunburn anything like that!

Ookurikara

• Calling you an idiot is the only verbal acknowledgement he will give. Plenty of others will scold you in his place, it’s not like he has to care. He tries to present as very unconcerned about your condition. Too bad he’s pretty obviously hanging around to keep an eye on you, not so subtly leaving medicine to help soothe the pain and totally just happening to be nearby whenever you need something.

Yagen

• You have fairly earned a bit of a lecture on having to take care of your skin better. He warns you about potential health risks if you don’t but isn’t too harsh. He makes you promise to come to him the next time you’re going out so he can remind you to wear sunscreen. He’s very happy to step up as a helper and take care of you, reminding you pointedly to stay in the shade and drink lots of water.

Sengo

• He probably can’t resist a line about how even he is careful about exposure to the sun, with all he strips he doesn’t want all sorts of uncomfortable areas to be getting burned. There’s no going back and putting sunscreen on you now so the least he can do is help take care of you now, he’s more than happy to be glued to your side and do little things for you. His main thing is joking around to distract you from the pain.

Hasebe

• Would Hasebe seriously consider fighting the sun for his Aruji? Of course he would! He grumbles to you bitterly about how it’s physically impossible and urges you to please call on him whenever you wish to go out, he’d drop everything to lather you with protection - a statement which he quickly embarrasses himself by saying. He’s probably going a little overboard with taking care of you but it’s because he cares.

Stumbled upon your account and your writting is just👌Can I request a saniwa who's in a relationship (Tomoegata, Higekiri, Hizamaru& kogitsunemaru/all seperate) but saniwa ends up turning into a kid for 24 hours due to a potion/etc. The saniwa doesn't remember them since they only have a memory of a child now. As the sword boys try to help them remind them that they're lovers the saniwa makes a cute comments/ex to kogi: I'm a lucky person! I get to marry a pretty fox boy!!/ how do they react?

Tomoegata

• You’re so cute! He’s absolutely protective of you and doesn’t want to leave your side. You’re so tiny you could get hurt way too easily, he’s a very fussy mother hen. You can do no wrong in his eyes, you get absolutely spoiled. He kind of forgets to be concerned that you randomly de-aged in the first place.

• What tether’s him back to the reality of the situation is how lonely he notices he feels that you don’t remember him even if you seem to enjoy his company still anyway. He needs his Saniwa back.

• He gets way too flustered by your remarks as a child about wanting to marry him, conflicted between whether or not he wants you to remember that when you get back to normal.

Higekiri

• He gets over the shock much too quickly. While others swords would over react in their worry he’s definitely under reacting suggesting it’s amusing rather than concerning. He reasons that since you don’t seem hurt they should just enjoy getting to know what you were like as a kid.

• He is a little more alarmed than he lets show when you seem to have no memories, playing it off in a joking way that his character is the one meant to be forgetful not yours. He still tries to subtly jog your memory.

• He really hopes you remember the offer, wanting to tease you about marrying him so badly. He plays along with everything you could want telling you he’d give you anything and getting scolded for “taking advantage” of the situation to get close to you.

Hizamaru

• He’s a bit on the overreaction side of things. What if it’s some really weird plot by the enemy to distract you all and attack? He wants to look at it seriously and figure out a solution right away but does admittedly get distracted by how cute you are and decides watching over you can still be taking it seriously.

• You not remembering worries him more, it nags at him as a feeling of being forgettable since Higekiri would definitely use it to tease him more. He tries to teach you about everyone and everything but with a kid’s attention span that does not go well.

• Doesn’t enjoy the cute moments as much as he should, endearment usually drowned out by the thought the relationship you had is gone and needs to completely be rebuilt.

Kogitsunemaru

• Like Higekiri he doesn’t get too worked up about it. It’s unusual but it’s an interesting situation. If it went on for a while he’d start to feel concerned but thinks it’s worth enjoying the whimsy of an unexpected event. Plus, you’re treating him a lot like a big doggy and the petting is addictive.

• He’s a little disappointed when you don’t have your memory but quickly finds it cute to reteach you things and hear your unfiltered child-version’s opinion of things. A bit more concerned with teaching you to remember everyone rather than trying to explain to a child the grand scale of what they’re fighting for.

• He’s pretty comfortable with the odd situation stretching on so long as they can eventually get back to normal. Even if it doesn’t sort itself out he feels confident that they’d all stay by you and wait until you grew up again if they had to.

Oh no! Hori-chan had a serious food poisoning! He suffers a lot from stomach ache, he vomitting a lot and has high fever. He is also very weak, so he have to stay in repair room. Kane-san and Aruji are outside the citadel, so the cute boy is alone and sad. But his brothers come to him to comfort him and help him back to health. How would Yamabushi and Yamanbagiri taking care of poor Hori? Are they affectionate? Are they have special methods to cheer Horikawa up? Thanks!

• Yamabushi is leading the charge to make nursing Hori back to health their job but Manba is just as happy to help. They both know Horikawa would never hesitate if either of them needed help so they want to step up and spoil their hardworking brother.

• Yamabushi knows how to control his volume when he needs to! He still gets shushed sometimes from laughing too loud, excited any time Horikawa gets a bit more strength to him.

• Horikawa honestly probably starts to feel a bit guilty at how eager they were to drop everything to dote on him. He gets a light hearted scolding to not be so hard on himself or to reject their feelings because they want to be there for him.

• Hori has someone keeping him company whenever he’s awake, Yamabushi and Yamanbagiri get he’d be a little overwhelmed if they were both there constantly so they take turns but definitely spend the night with him.

• Will cuddling Hori make him heal up faster? No. Does that stop Yamabushi suggesting it and the two smother him in affection. They don’t get too self indulgent and know when to step back and just let him rest but they’re giving him so much care and reassurance not allowing negative thoughts to take over.

Um, so, if you see this and I've already sent you something then you can ignore this! But I'm feeling like I want some Kikkou love, please. Some months my feet are fine and then some weeks, I need my cane to stand. Imagine a Saniwa who hasn't had their feet hurt in a while, wakes up and can barely get out of the futon! I was hoping for some Kikkou hcs on being the attendant and helping out that day? Or week? If it's easier, it's just Kikkou, but if you need more, how about your two fave swords?

Answering just with Kikkou, and with this I will be caught up with all the requests. I’ve been up until a silly hour to finally get through these to feel like I’ve done something after feeling quite low and self reflective for the day lol. But I might try to get a couple hours of sleep at least once this is posted so if there’s any messages of response I wouldn’t be seeing them right away. No matter what I just wanted to finally empty that ask box ww.

• Kikkou would happily run to you the moment you needed someone. He always wants to help you and is upset to see you in pain. He will get a little silly, encouraging you to order him around however you want but it’s mostly to keep up your spirits and he honestly tones it down a little to focus on you. Kikkou is happy to wait on you hand and foot and is just a little smug that he is the one you called on as his attendant. But the silliness aside he’s genuinely happy you’d think to rely on him and wouldn’t waste that. He probably gets a little greedy around taking care of you all himself not wanting others to intrude though Yagen gets to be an exception since Kikkou doesn’t know as much as him about ways to really help ease your pain. He really, really, wants an excuse to give you massages…

Ask Box Open

I honestly didn’t have all that much I wanted to change for my rules once I looked over them. I edited some of the wording but it’s the same rules as ever for this writing blog. I also adjusted my crossover options, dropping some otomes I didn’t keep up with and adding Obey Me and A3. I will be doing my best to learn up about the new (to me) characters and kiwames as I go but I want to encourage this blog to be chatty again, let me know fandom stuff I missed. How much you love the newer characters or popular jokes about them/ships and such since aside from rting Kuniyuki fanart and following the official twitter I haven’t been part of much. 

It might take some time to build this blog up to anything like what it was and I don’t know how much demand tkrb writing has anymore but I hope at least for some there’s still some want. Remember, normal requests and positivity are back to being open. Feel free to come here for any self indulgent comfort. My intention is still to pace myself and only be filling requests on weekends for now. We’ll have to see if I stick to that.
