// This might be an unpopular opinion-but it is mine and you are not obliged to agree with it ok!?- but I honestly dislike Deaton.
First of all, that man is so cryptic and give so little information and if he does you have to bend and twist it to understand it-yeah it can be fun and makes the person think and grow sometimes. Not to mention this part: He was said that he was Talia’s (Derek’s mother) emissary, meaning that he was supposed to be something akin to her advisor and a person whom she could trust with almost anything, and was also capable of using some magic. Now after Talia’s death, I am not sure how this works but does he simply stops being the emissary when the Alpha dies- even if Laura(her daughter) took over that position and Derek was so her beta(also Cora but we didn’t know that she is even alive) ??? And even if he did lose any connection to the Hale pack this way, if he had even a bit of decency...he would have helped Laura a bit more when she came back, and for the love of God....he could have helped Derek and lead him a TINY bit? Yes even if it meant that he would have to actually reach out himself and ground the still grief-filled 22year old male, when he lost his sister as well. Maybe he tried but was just pushed aside we don’t know?? It honestly pisses me off to see how he is basically getting a hardon for Scott and is being a mentor and guide to him instead of offering anything to the Hale kids. I don’t know if Laura maybe forbid him?Did he feel some dislike toward the two kids that left BH or what??? Because, while Deaton was helpful yes, he acted as if his status as an EX-emissary to Talia meant nothing to him in the end. And it just angers me kinda? Because He could have told Derek how his mother used to lead, tell him things that he didn’t know when becoming an Alpha or was still the Beta that just wanted to get Scott out the Argent’s fire. I just don’t get it-hell, maybe it was because he was retired so all damn he gave was also tossed aside D: ?
