“One, two, three.”
Lost deep within a now nameless and forgotten country.... hidden by the many foliages... a hunter.
“Four..... Five.”
Its targets were on sight, their fate sealed.
“And... Six. Here they are..”
Unaware of their suddenly shortened lifespan, This unlikely group of people was going of its merry way, guarding or roaming around a now abandonned and forgotten shack, certain of their safety.
The first knife embedded itself in an unfortunate’s juggular, as his noiseless cry for help was unheard of his friend, looking the other way.
A dire mistake
Carefully removing it, the hunter stared at the other one, still blissefully unaware of the other’s presence. His throat was cleanly cut, a spray of blood recovering the ground he was silently laid on, dead.
Four more to go, mentally stated the hunter to itself...
It was almost too easy, almost tempting the hunter to stop its meticulous advance, and toy with such pathetic preys. But it was not here of its own accord, nor by pleasure of the hunt. He was asked, tasked... to do this.
The third unfortunate would soon come for the hunter for kill, simply opening a nearby door and making her presence known of a powerful voice, putting the hunter back on its feet and forcing it to act quicker than he had anticipated.
Shock could be read on her face as she scanned the room, and saw, to her horror, the two cold body, and that mysterious, yet dangerous individuals whose her companions’ bloods she instinctively knew dripped from its hands.
“Yo-” She only had the time to start as she reached for her sidearm, only to be pounced at by the violent creature, whose knives it held in both hands, intent to end her life and preserve his present.
She was left with little to no chances. But as her life was forcefully taken away, Her last action was to discharge her firearm.
Dead she was, But alerted were the others. The hunt was over, but its fight had only begun....
