on one of their meetings, mike shows up with a third party, who nacho deduces to be some kind of an apprentice. nacho is very anxious and angry that somebody else is involved without his consent, but later he finds out they may have more in common than he thought

what nacho did in the car was the last resort; maybe it was a reach, and he didn't know why he forced himself to do that, but he had to make sure - in case lalo didn't get off enough after seeing the fire, he'd fulfill it by something else
