In The Summertime - Mungo Jerry
Exploring the Unique Sound of Mungo Jerry’s ‘In The Summertime’ Every era produces a few wonderfully odd songs—tracks that seem to appear out of nowhere and instantly define a moment in time....
♫ In The Summertime ♫ (Redux) As I mentioned yesterday, I thought I'd fill the rest of this week with "summer" themed songs. ...
♪ 3 Songs I have been listening to lately... ♪
This is an open tag from my buddy, @susann-noir, so I'm taking it! lol (Especially since I have been listening to a lot of music lately.)
In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry (Seemed fitting, given the current season)
"When the weather's fine, We go fishing or go swimming in the sea We're always happy, life's for living Yeah, that's our philosophy"
Oh No! by Marina and the Diamonds (You know the drill: you discover a new song and listen to it on repeat)
"I know exactly what I want and who I want to be I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine I'm now becoming my own self-fulfilled prophecy Oh! Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! Oh!"
Cheri Cheri Lady by Modern Talking (I'm almost always listening to this one in some capacity)
"Oh, I cannot explain, every time, it's the same Oh, I feel that it's real, take my heart I've been lonely too long, oh, I can't be so strong Take the chance for romance, take my heart"

I'm leaving this as an open tag, as well. So, if you see this and want to do it, consider yourself tagged!
Mungo Jerry - In the Summertime
1970 was Different
"Back when Men were Men."
Well, around the time I was born, this is what Men looked like.
Not sure we are on the same page here.
I put a playlist up that started with Bobby Vee, because it's hot and this video takes place on the "beach". It's also proof that music videos existed before MTV, and could be just as WTF.
The next song that showed up was another summer favorite - Mungo Jerry reminding me that it's HOT out. Thanks, I didn't need that.
Not sure if I have ever had such whiplash in my life.
