‘ it’s been awhile, hasn’t it, rin-san? ‘
the spirit’s voice is colored by faint mirth; a hand brushes aside a loose lock from her cheek in fondness.
‘ -- well. i suspect the two of us have a rather lax relation to time. ‘

Send me a ✿ and my muse will react to your muse putting a flower in their hair.
She hadn't heard the girl approach at all, concentrated as she was - was the slope of the tangent equal to z? that would mean that I've done the entire problem wrong already -- and she was easily startled from her thoughts by the feel of small fingers pressing something into the hair behind her ear. A thin hand shot up to touch the new addition and found it to be soft and smooth under her fingertips - petals? Who would...
"Eh? Rin?"
Dark eyes flicked between the culprit and the book spread across her lap, the girl chewing her lip thoughtfully - then the book was shoved off to the side, geometric formulas momentarily forgotten.
"You know, I think you'd look very nice with a bouquet of blues and yellows."
munnohana started following.
"Eh? Here on your own... did you get lost?"
Child Drabble// @munnohana
A child screeching and crying pierced through the quiet of the night near Inuyasha's Forest. It was approximately two in the morning when the child woke up. His chubby fingers reached out for an adult figure, anyone, who could aid him in what he needed. "MMMMMMWAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" he wailed as hiccups interrupted his incessant crying before they turned into splutters of coughing. His chubby cheeks puffed up and turned red from frustration before a woman sighed.
"...Mou....Akihiko shhh..." the tired raspy voice grumbled as she roused from her sleep. Her dark brown eyes looked down into the boy's which were exactly like hers. He had dark hair, but there were freckles on his cheek which were just like his father's. Unfortunately his father was no longer with them. Kohaku passed away shortly after Akihiko's birth when he went out on a demon hunt. It was a demon he could never and since then it had been two years. Life never got easier though, Rin would cry often, especially at night when she thought no one would be awake. Unknowing to her, there was someone who heard her pain and he heard it every time. He never strayed far from her because it became a habit from raising her.
There was a silence between them, but Sesshomaru knew when she needed him. He was the only parental figure she ever had and now that she was raising a fatherless child, he knew he would need to play that role once more. Striding into the hut, Akihiko's attention turned to him and he immediately stopped crying.
Golden eyes narrowed and sternly looked at the child. He didn't say a word and picked the child up before looking at Rin and muttering, "Go back to bed."
