Miss Piggy Statue and the Tower or Terror
MUPPET*VISION 3D Walt Disney World Dir. by Jim Henson
What a terrible day to be a Muppet*Vision 3D fan
My sincere reaction to the Muppet*Vision 3D news today
Today, we say goodbye to the final project Jim Henson worked on, one of the greatest and most innovative attractions of all time. A 3D movie with audioanimatronics on all sides, immersive 4D effects, and an appearance by a live puppeteer. (That the first appearance of live Sweetums still elicits audible surprise is a testament to how rare that trick remains in theme parks)
34 years of music, mayhem, and that unmatched Muppet magic. 34 years of Nicky Napoleon and his Emperor Penguin orchestra. 34 years of a runaway bunny being brought back into the fold. 34 years of der machinen goin' der fløømy-fløømy. 34 years of laughs, heckling, bubbles, spotlights, fireworks, stray arrows, living 3D effects, cheap 3D tricks, incredible explosions, and a theater suffering only minor damage. I cannot adequately say how much this show has meant to me, and how much I will feel its absence.
So instead, I say to Statler and Waldorf: now that there isn't another show to stay for and, after 34 years, you are about to be unbolted from your seats, you can finally go to the bathroom.

A salute to all attractions, but mostly Muppetvision 3D
