Ellyse Perry Gives Perfect Response to Indian Star Murali Vijay's Remark
After Indian cricket star Murali Vijay said he considered the all-rounder "beautiful" Ellyse Perry issued a cheeky reply. Perry, who was part of this year's winning T20 World Cup squad in Australia but skipped the semi-final and final with a hamstring injury, caught Vijay's eye. Last month, Vijay was questioned during an interview on Instagram Live which two cricketers he would like to have dinner with. The top-order batsman for the Chennai what is Super Kings said he thought Perry was "beautiful" and hoped to have a meal with the Aussie shot. "Ellyse Perry. I want to have dinner with her. She is so beautiful," stated Vijay, before adding Indian colleague Shikhar Dhawan to his ideal guest list for dinner party. Talking via video link to sports presenter Ridhima Pathak, Perry was asked about the comments made by Vijay, and was swift with the perfect one-liner. "I hope he's paying, if that's the case," Ellyse Perry stated. "That's very kind of him, I'm very flattered." Sadly for Vijay if he wants to take Perry for dinner he would have to go through her boyfriend, Australian rugby star Matt Toomua first. The pair got married in 2015 and Perry attributed the Wallaby with improving her career last year. "He has had these incredible experiences in his own career. And I feel more settled … there's this lovely shared sense of what we want to achieve together," Perry told. "Ironic isn't it, that caring a little less, and being more relaxed and trusting of my ability, has helped me improve." Perry was named one of Wisden's Five Cricketers of the Decade last year – along with Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Dale Steyn and AB de Villiers – and is widely considered as the most experienced women's cricket all-rounder. At 2019 ICC Cricket Awards, the 29-year-old was also named Women's Cricketer of the Year. She has represented Australia in all formats on 240 occasions, taking 297 wickets, and scoring 4864 runs since her global teenage debut in 2007. Murali didn't win
The strategy of Murali Vijay using the first ball and KL Rahul has been apparent that anchor the pitch. Both of them retained the eyes open for the first two overs, but on the inswing of Mitchell Starc's third over of the innings, the eyes of Murali Vijay were left available. The ball came in. And also the stumps were sprinkled through the center of the bat and pad. The beginning of india got worse. A loose, loose shot in the opener and the ball yells his stump after brushing the pad in its way. Only the beginning the hosts could have wanted and just not what the Indians would have liked. DAY 2 THAT WILL BE LUNCH ON. OUT! Ishant gets four and AUSTRALIA ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 326. Great delivery again, it's angled in from'around the wicket. Hazlewood must play at it to his hardship, it is an outswinger which kisses the external edge of the blade. Pant dives around to his left to take a catch. Sharma will be on a moment. Murali Vijay Out ENGvIND Indian team for 4th and 5th Test against England announced - Tamilnews
Teenage sensation Prithvi Shaw along with ever consistent middle-order batsmen Hanuma Vihari were included in the Test team as selectors announced squad for the fourth and fifth Test on Thursday. Out of form opener Murali Vijay was axed from the team. Kuldeep Yadav was also left out of the team and will be part of the India A squad for the four-day game against Australia A. The rest of the team remained the same as the first three Tests.
Shaw's stocks have been on the rise ever since playing for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy semi-final as a 16-year-old prodigy in 2016-17 season. Since then, he has played 14 first-class matches, scoring 1,418 runs, including seven centuries and five fifties. Shaw aggregated 603 runs in 10 innings for India A in the recent England tour.
Vihari started his career with Hyderabad before moving to lead Andhra Pradesh. He has scored 5142 runs in his First-Class career including 15 hundreds and 24 fifties with a highest score of 302 not out. Vihari has showed solid form for India A in recent weeks, scoring a century against South Africa A in Bengaluru at the beginning of August.
Vijay's axeing wasn't totally unexpected as he has failed to score big runs since the South Africa tour. The Tamil Nadu opener managed to score only 128 runs in 5 matches, averaging a miserable 12.80. He was dropped for the Trent Bridge Test with India going with KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan as the two openers. Both put in impressive displays, getting India off to solid starts in both the innings.
The All-India Senior Selection Committee met in Nottingham to pick the Indian Cricket Team for the remaining two Tests of the ongoing five-match Test series against England.
