i think blue and queen despair (iforget her name) were the god and the shrine maiden from the legend and they were dating and she liked pandora’s box bc it was super pretty and she wanted the treasures inside it. bc if it looks that pretty imagine what it must be holding, right? but he was like no no we can’t open this there’s rules agaiinst opening it. but she was like prove you love me and open it for me you dingus.
so he opened it (or she opened it and he tried to stop her) and caused countless problems all over the world. and possibly there was the effect of them never being able to see each other again (due to the emotional disconnect from the opening box fight). so when she asked for him to help her people with all these problems, he couldn’t help directly because he’d lost his powers as a result of breaking the rules and opening the box. but he watched. he watched her from across the mirror, reaching out to try and wipe away her tears.
