Let’s sit and imagine something, in a universe where things aren’t as FUBAR.
Cabin Fever Labs is a known place on Copper 9, it kinda has to be with what they do. And what do they do? Well, they handle Solvers, and presently they are dealing with a Solver in SolverPod Form who just brought two drones into the world.
Suffice to say, Alice isn’t leaving the tunnels she’s claimed, and Director Ridley wants to let the matter rest, at least until Nori and Yeva clock back in from their vacations with their families.
At least Mitchell and that Elliot kid are here, they can keep Alice topped up, hopefully, if they both stop needing out about her.
*crackles knuckles* you caught me in a writing for ideas mood you scoundrel lol
Mitchell knew better to interrupt a moment of feeding, it was a stroke of luck that he was paired with someone who was thankfully more knowing about how solver's were that made sure he didn't nerd out from a distance and didn't keep his voice down, he'd be batted at like a cat who didn't get enough treats in their mind swatting at their owner, hurts but it won't hurt as much as knowing you invaded their space at a wrong time.
Tessa was that anchor, despite being the younger of the duo, she was the more logical of the double set of big brains, she'd repaired drones back from death, she'd been the first one to have a solver drone which led to her becoming apart of this program because she knew how her own drone that got it was, Cyn was what she called her, seemingly her designation for whatever reason was three letters instead of the usual one, if it was supposed to show her importance in the change of times, it did. Point was that she allowed Cyn to get one of the solverpod mode because Cyn used it to get away from everything when it all got too loud for her, resulting in Nathanial, Valeria, or journey having to hold her when balled up till she felt comfortable enough to come out.
that was the other thing about Tessa, she had three other non-solver drones she had brought back from seeing their eternal blue screen of death.
Nathanial was a classic, quick and sharp and precise movements when doing a job, his reflexes seemed to have been over-tuned in whatever accident had led to his original demise, which mean he himself was the one making sure that he was, but he was also a gentle soul, he could genuinely enjoy things so small and simple and be the brightest light in the room, a grand friend, as well though he had a protective nature within him, at any moment he'd jump to the protection of his friends, which Tessa sometimes led her to being thankful that he wasn't the one who got the solver, he'd have gotten even more protective and even more potentially ready to fight off those who hurt his found companionship in a instant.
Valeria was a book worm, shy, her visor had gotten a bug leading her to needing glasses for herself, she looked like a cutesy little thing and she was...until you cornered her. Then she would pounce out and lash out, she'd apologize if you gave her long enough but the amount of damage despite not having any sort of weaponry on her that she could cause proved that it was good that she as well hadn't been transformed. also to note about her and Nathanial, they were an item, a open watch the world and nowadays they embraced it.
Journey or Jaybird as Tessa sometimes called her, was a interesting case, she held the weaponry of a old sword that had become decorative but could still cut at her side, though it had been adapted to her capabilities, she was ready to protect who she cared about most and that was Tessa, she was the one who she wished to be with, and now out her on copper-9, she was not gonna let anyone stop her. If she had been transformed, it was assumed by Tessa herself hypothesized that'd she'd have to up the speed on her own human to drone body project due to how much she'd be wrapped up by the coils of solverpede and how much she'd be carrying around a solverpod that'd open like a jack and the box at the dare mention of their relationship being questionable.
Mitchell and Tessa were currently in the labs on duty with a solverpodded Alice, who the father was? unknown, there was a few theories but most of them, were speculation, though when Mitchell sometimes looked at her, it seemed protective as well, whoever the other drone was hadn't been nice to her, and Tessa and Mitchell made sure to keep an eye out for any troublemakers.
they did nerd out though
tessa: bloody hell I still can't believe this some days
she said this from a observation deck room that had been set up above the tunnel, the lights were politley shut off so that alice could be ensured a nice sleep as her two lil Solver UNN's rested against their mothers pod comfortably, using it like a pillow that propped them up, in sleep mode.
Mitchell: what do you mean?
Mitchell himself actually didn't expect to land this job but apparently he said the right things the right way while studying the right things to get him in, he felt lucky and he was learning as he went, which the solver drones would sometimes messed with him about it but in a friendly teasing way
Tessa: I am so far from my parents 'n' everything! I didn't expect cyn to basically bloody bust me out of a arranged marriage that hadn't even been fully thought out or spoken yet, let alone carry me and the others out of there while she was in solverpede mode, she was scared but she wanted to protect me...it was such a whirlwind of things 'appening that I couldn't bloody believe it. I mean firstly I'm on copper-9 now, a whole nother fucking planet! I don't know 'alf the things she managed to pull out of nowhere but a I had to study them then and there! Then learning I ain't the only goddamn person who treats drones like people was a blessing, and managing to find a job for me and my jaybird.
Mitchell nodded then spoke: it happens faster then one can expect
Tessa: speaking of life though, how's our lil poddin down there?
Mitchell: she's doing fine, vitals look good, same for the UNN's, still asleep and resting easy
Tessa: good, good to hear
