Because it’s Thanksgiving this week, do you guys want to take this week off? Otherwise we could do murder on Tuesday, riddle on Wednesday, case due by Sunday? Please let me know?
Murder 2 Reveal
After getting to bed rather late the previous night, everyone woke up late in the morning. Hotchkiss made an announcement into their speakers inside each tent. “Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey! That is to say eggs and bacon, yum! Rise and shine dear ones, and make your way to the main tent. Here all shall be revealed concerning Mary’s death, while you eat breakfast.” More than one of the guests suddenly lost their appetite. But upon arriving in the main tent, the delicious smell of bacon and coffee seemed to fix that problem. Once everyone had settled down with their plates, and after giving them a little time to digest, Hotchkiss stepped forward and clapped her hands. “Attention, please. I have a note from the killer to read to you all. ‘Dear guests, I’m not sorry Mary had to die. Oh, Mary, Mary, quite contrary. It was all too simple to get rid of her. First I sent her a note saying to leave on a camel if she wanted to live. She tried all morning to ignore this, but in the end gave in. I had put bacteria in her canteen, but Mary spotted it right away and refused to drink it. Which is rather a pity since that meant she had to die a slower death. On the camel reins, I inserted two tiny metal slivers, where I knew she would get scratched. These cuts made it very easy for the next part. I rubbed lotion laced with Belladonna, also known as deadly nightshade, onto the reins. Because her skin was cut open, the poison began to take effect immediately, although a bit slowly. She began to feel confused, had a dry mouth, slurred speech, etc. The poison causes paralysis, and slowly she lost feeling in her body. She fell from the camel and as her lungs were paralysed, she died of asphyxia. Now, onto who is spared and who is scared. The best case goes to...Kit!’ Spared: Henry Elisabet Izzy Wade Simone Rentaro
