MURDERBOT EPISODE 9!!!!
I laughed at all the silly lines said by Murderbot ("fair enough. No need to be rude." "boldness is all!", "there's a pebble in my boot", "i'd been infected with an empathy virus by my clients.", "they were spellbound.") and then got gut punched by a moment at the end I knew was coming because I've read the book multiple times but holy shit did the scene and the line hit me hard! I cried! So yeah all in all a FANTASTIC episode (that once again went by too quickly and now I have to wait a week!)

I thought it was a fascinating choice to construct murderbot's plan in such a way that, for it to succeed, PresAux would have to be complicit in the deaths of GreyCris. It didn't give them time to argue and hem and haw, either: it presented them with a choice that had to be made immediately, or else be taken from them entirely, and they all chose to survive.
It's written in a way that defies easy moral judgments, which is impressive.

Will it end on a cliffhanger?
I need whump!!! I hope there will be whump!!! Maybe?
murderbot episode 9 thoughts - spoilers obviously
holy fuck I ain't ok
the hiding the plan from the PresAux team. very murderbot
i liked all of its dialogue, good funny moments :') (forshadowing)
i liked Murderbot attempting to distract GrayCis by smalltalking. i paused the tv like 5 times to scream into a pilllow
it kept quoting sanctuary moon very cute
watching its helmet get shattered. paused the tv again to scream
then jumping off a cliff with mensah and taking all of the fall damage
and its last thoughts being "my clients are the best"
yeah i was sobbing BRo im still trying to chill out and be normal
but also how did gurathin and pin-lee get there so fast
anyway watching murderbot experience a catastrophic failure was not on my list of things i can handle emotionally today
I really liked the team slowly figuring out MB's real plan "but that's....murder" and their serious expressions and the way no one tries to make claims about MB being evil because it wants to murder these people who would kill them. It's like they finally see that the name 'Murderbot' is more than a scary joke. It's a fierce declaration of autonomy and now it's become a declaration of devotion and a vow to protect them too. And it knows no bounds. 'Murderbot' will murder itself in a heartbeat if it will give them a chance of survival. That's how much it loves likes its best clients.
