The whole "Tarik x Ratthi" thing going on in the background of System Collapse is also very funny, because, on one hand, "former member of a corporate death squad with combat training and huge skills in the field + a lot of trauma, and also hates the institution he left with all he got meets charismatic scientist from a pacifist planet" has very good yaoi potential but on the other hand this is (a) murderbot's pov (b) it really, really doesn't give a shit about that
