Seems that bastard raven of his went and turned the big beastie’s ears inside out. And judging by the way she bobs her head and cackles upon the Creeper’s shoulder where she’s taken her perch, Cortez seems to find it funny, too. “Don’t fret, though. That means she likes you.”

well, he’s glad  somebody  finds it fucking  funny.

for his part, he’s less than amused.  her sharp little beak’s knicked his ears all to hell and back and he’s bleeding from the lobe of the left one  --  he regrets ever teaching this brat to  laugh.  cousin’s influence ain’t made her any better behaved, neither;  if anything, he’s made her about twenty times  worse.

...  and still, cortez is given the majority of his forgiveness.  one massive index finger is offered as a taxi, and he buses her up onto the brim of his hat, from there, which  --  despite her weight  --  stays miraculously in place.  it’s  murdoc  he punishes, jabbing the steel toe of his boot into murdoc’s shin the second muds cracks a smile.

like look  ...  man  ...  i know grendel / murdoc is a very weird unlikely crossover ship or whatever but after 2 years of development and crucial analysis into the intersections of their trauma, introspection into how they project images of themselves and how empathizing with one another allows them Both the freedom of Vulnerability, Access To The True Inner Self  ...  allows them to find and build on their deeply neglected Who-I-Really-Ams, so that even if neither of them are ever truly comfortable answering the question “who am i?”, they will at least be able to answer honestly, “i am better with him”  ...  i wouldn’t give grendoc up 4 the world
