Random question but who are your favorite female characters?
*forgets every female character ever* 😳 Okay, I'm constraining myself because that's a big question and I'll go with like five? I might catch a wave and keep going... Dr Ellie Sattler for sure. She would've been my earliest inkling to not act as if women were operating on an "entirely different level from men and could never be reached, so build that social divide in your mind now!" Jocelyn in 'A Knight's Tale'. Showing that her "attitude" could be rightly deserved if others underestimated her as one thing and not as a whole. Also just the movie as a whole is such a fun vibe even if the time period wouldn't have actually been. Dr Ellie Arroway (wow, another Ellie doctor?? c'mon 90s writers...) whether or not I made anything of it in my own life, she exemplified that sense of wonder about the world that I found admirable. Searching for truth and not puting others down for their own pursuits, as long as they didn't corrupt it for personal gain. Toph Beifong? For not being worried about being different. Something I struggled with and was made to change to fit everyone else's comfort zone. Just be you and find those that are okay with that. And also just knew when she was right and when the world should be challenged. Oh! Charlotte "Chuck" Charles for being well-read and getting out into the world when it became obvious that life wasn't suiting her anymore. Granted, that got her killed... but nothing that couldn't be solved later on. Also, the bee keeping. Apiaries are goals and to not flinch at the thought of stingers would be a nice achievement. And to have a train of thought that just rushed past eloquently and succinctly. No need to slowly ramble, right? And Varga from 'Horizon: Frozen Wilds' was an instant favorite. Her fascination with other cultures' inventions and willingness to incorporate what she learned from others into her own works. One of the few video game crushes I had. Just a contagious energy when she was around. I know I've forgotten some because my memory isn't great, but I think I'm okay with this given how long I've been thinking for it.
