#murice #murex #garusolo. 🐚🐚🐚One of the most humble crostacean in the #Venice #lagoon and in the Mediterranean see. The job of murex is to clean the carcasses in the bottom of the sea. This humble scavenger was crucial to extract the purple pigment during the era of the #phoenitians before and the #serenissima republic after . Purple was the color of the high ranking... the meaning behind a #murextattoo could be : “to be great in your life, you need to be humble” but this #seasnail is also very different from its earth “cousins”, a “door” close the house when disturbed....
