@muriinecorps [[ Hammie ]]
The hamster just across the way was... really something else.
Rumors were abundant about the semi-shut in, talking about WHY he was so rarely seen outside in the daylight hours. Some speculated there was something sinister going on in his house. Others thought he was just some eccentric or wasn’t quite right in the head.
They weren’t terribly off the mark. But the fact remained...
Regardless, Hammie strove to break his habits. Sometimes, he’d do his best to stay up all day and then crash into blissful slumber come 8 pm. Other times he’d sleep in until noon and fall asleep again at 3 am. His biggest motivation to CHANGE these habits? His next door neighbor, Werner.
The lad was still young, and knew NOTHING of the long gone wars. He admired Werner’s work ethic, pushing himself to be more like him... That’s why he could sometimes be seen making a dash across the street, arms laden with a baking pan... like today. He’d just finished stress baking putting the finishing touches on his new walnut and cashew crunchy brownies and wanted Werner’s opinion on them...
He knocked on the others door, smiling and calling, “Werner! I hope you’re in and hungry!”
