Murin-an, A Japanese Style Garden in Kyoto, Japan. The Japanese garden of Murin-an (無鄰菴) in Kyoto City. The garden was once the villa of Field Marshal Prince Yamagata Aritomo (山縣 有朋, June 14, 1838 – February 1, 1922), he was a Japanese field marshal in the Imperial Japanese Army and twice Prime Minister of Japan. The garden was created by Ogawa Jihei VII (小川治兵衛, May 25, 1860 – December 2, 1933), he was a Japanese garden architect of the Meiji and Taisho era of modern Japan.
