Herculean Julian is the song, from our EP ‘The Murky Window’. A tale about a confident young man and his behaviour with the females he encounters.

The twist in your knickers, the sword in your stone The diver in the search for the pearls Orpheus in Chinos, Prometheus’ bones The provender for simple girls
The Great Julian speaks where some might breath He shapes the nature of your unbelief He bends the bar with sexual prowess Then glides through the garden sniffing flowers An able versifying amateur Doesn’t get iambic pentameter With every word a swinging phallic thrash He straddles brilliance and balderdash Pierces the caverns of the human mind Then sinks to places others dare not find
(Chorus) (Julian) What’s the secret of your brilliant way You seemed like you knew but never did say (Julian) What’s the secret of your beautiful mind We can see the cogs turning but we can’t hear them grind
I wonder how the words can fall just right To make the people yield with ease and sleight And peeking round the corners, questioning To prod the innocence toward lessening And subtle sliding hands caress the dress In time with metric, tantric word finesse To leave a mark so quickly without strain One must be heard by ears gestating pain
(Chorus)
