So, the first one I met was Kyo. I caught up with him after one of his matches and we hit it off. He was just so cool and handsome, but I wanted to make sure that he wouldn’t just become a “one night stand” sort of situation, so I just took the time to get to know him.

We continued meeting up after his matches, and after some thought, I basically gave him a big ol’ confession. Not exactly a love confession, but yeah. I said to him something like “Despite all these times we’ve met up and hung out, I don’t feel like I’ve seen the real you. Let’s be friends. I want to get to know you more.” He accepted and we just opened up to each other more and eventually, we started dating.

After Kyo, it was Terry. It was the same sort of deal with Kyo: met him after his round at a KOF tournament, got some drinks, had some drunken sex--wAIT TOO MUCH INFO MOVING ON. but yeah after a few more dates we eventually started going out too.

With me spending a lot of time with Kyo, of course, I had to have run into Iori at some point. Iori being Iori, he tracked down Kyo, threatened to kill him, yadda yadda, you know how it is. Of course, I didn’t know about that at the time and hOLY HELL DID I WANNA PROTECT KYO. BUT AT THE SAME TIME HOT DAMN I DIDNT KNOW HOW TO ACT AROUND THIS ABSOLUTE SEX ICON.

but yeah literally, my first words after seeing iori were “Kyo, why are all of your friends hot?”

Anyway, with how often I saw Iori, I just thought it would be a good idea to at least make an effort to get to know him better. One thing led to another and here we are.

god thank u SO much for cherishing tom .....he used to be my absolute favourite in the whole damn game a few years ago and i was wondering why the hell nobody else liked him.. hes great and precious. people finally giving him the love he deserves !!!!

might lose followers for this, but it needs to be said: bandit Keith getting his ass kicked in duel by roba

oh boy............ you have no idea how much i’ve thought about this..............

roba and keith dueling in some post-canon tourney overseen by pegasus about a year after battle city, roba has evolved greatly as a duelist & uses the jinzo archetype + generic machine support while keith is still a bit of a scumbag and suffering from all his trauma during the events of canon, uses the barrel dragon archetype with the same machine support as roba

keith knowing juuuust enough about roba to be able to taunt them cruelly about how they cheated in battle city and how it was actually entirely their fault that they lost, because they’re the one who called roulette spider at the wrong time, breaking roba’s spirit and greatly angering any duel spirits that may be watching (*cough* jinzo - lord specifically) 

despite this, they continue to duel, keith regularly using his monster’s gambling effects and getting them destroyed in the process and roba angrily states that he doesn’t care for his monsters at all, to which keith smugly replies that yeah, so what? they’re just tools for him to win, so why does it matter? and then jabs them again about how they got their monsters destroyed with roulette spider

this being the last straw for the spirit of jinzo - lord and as keith’s monster attacks them with an open field, he manifests and breaks the rules of the game yugi’s-dark-magician-style to cancel out the attack, much to the surprise of everyone. keith is furious and accuses roba of cheating again, but pegasus, acutely aware of the existence of duel spirits as seen in canon, allows the duel to continue, stating that this was a “fated event” that could not be stopped, being purposefully vague.

roba winning the duel because of this advantage and giving a very pissed off keith a very honest speech about respecting the people, the events, the cards that got him to where he is, and that he’ll perform better that way, and outstretches their hand to him in a very mirroring way to how jounouchi did it to them when they lost!!

tl;dr roba would totally kick keith’s ass in a duel but then also befriend him because they’re just that good of a soul 👏
