Not Quite a Science
The shy witch of the tiny river village closes the shop’s window, for the night. Heaving a sigh, she hangs her hat up on the coat rack, and goes to lock up the shop’s doors. It was a busy day of selling! The seasona; change is bringing a few caravan adventurers through, and they all need their health potions, and antidotes!
There are some more specialty customers coming through, as well. Freia hopes that it’s because people are spreading her shop’s name around, but it might not be the case. The scroll of instructions in her hands makes her feel a bit like she’s just an obscure option for this order, since no more prominent shops would take it, according to her customer.
The scroll has some details for a spell potion that the customer wanted. At the most basic, she wanted something to help her store things on someone’s person, without a bag. Some more badgering and discussion revealed to Freia that the woman wanted to be able to store things inside her body, when not able to wear pockets, as well as being able to safely retrieve the stuff.
It might take a long while to get it perfect, but the pay was good enough that Freia was willing to shorten her hop hours, for the next few weeks, at least until the spell is perfected. Putting magic in a bottle is easy enough, if you know your spell’s components just as well as you can. “Zalika! I have closed the shop. Tonight, we will be crafting and testing a spell. Bring my book, and my experiment chest to the kitchen, please.”
