@crimsonstray asked:
"Your big brother looks like you too, hitsugaya-taichou!"
A huffed sigh results from hearing the comment and the jubantai captain's eyes shut in a disregarding manner.
"You cant possibly be serious or so adamantly dim." A pause, perhaps he'd hear a confession from the red-haired lieutenant of having only been joking. It could have been a way to prod at Hitsugaya's nerves as so often times he'd been the one to be burdened and targeted by others who were inclined to such frivolous antics.
It proved to be all for naught as it became clear that the benefit of the doubt was far too much credit put forward.
"Don't be absurd, that was not my brother. Really, if you fail to connect the dots here, you truly must be a hopeless case. I will say this once, Abarai-fukutaichou, and please allow it to sink in. I have no brother."
@divineslcyer asked:
He’d been overworking himself again, much to her and Ran’s concern at times. Mishil came in with some tea and snacks, only to find he’d fallen asleep on his desk. She sighed, setting the tray down to his desk. She murmured a spell to at least keep the food warm, then hesitated to wake him. Though asleep, there were faint lines of strain around his eyes. Many saw him as a young man, but with the burden’s he carried there were times he felt much older. More burdened. “You should rely on us a bit more captain.” She picked off the blanket from the couch, and carefully draped it over his shoulders gently. Even leaning down to sweep some of his hair away, and placing a kiss to his cheek. Oh, oops, she thought straightening and scratching her cheek. She briskly returned back to her own desk, picking up a finished report. “Ah, I better find Ran. This needs her signature.” She tied it with care, then quietly slipped away from the office. Hopefully her captain would rest well after his nap.
Countless hours go by, he's dedicated to a fault. This is no uncommon occurrence however as he is prone to burning the candle at both ends on a regular basis. Tireless though he may be in his efforts, the fatigue does find its way, taking it's effects mercilessly. Without warning his eyes betray his will to remain in the world of the woken and sleep ensues, seemlessly his consciousness slips and he's lost the war, entering a dreamscape.
Asleep at his desk yet again.
By the time he does stir and awaken, she and his lieutenant have long since departed but he finds himself with a blanket having covered his sloped over form within his chair, he looks around in the silence, offset only by birds chirping to greet the first rays of a rising, morning sun.
His eyes settle infront of him, a meal and tea have been set out for him. Something sentimental washes over him, he's thankful in his thoughts, the consideration was signature of Faheem so he suspects she must have checked in on him, it's a shame he's missed her this time.
ryusxnka asked:
“ I’m not going anywhere. I’m going to stay right here and cause all kinds of trouble.“ // To Hitsugaya from his Reigai counterpart, please!
No more were reigai a perilous threat as the tenth division captain's improvements through years of rigorous training proved to have rendered the power of his clone-like replica obsolete in comparison. None of this data changed the mild annoyance Hitsugaya was subjected to when the other made his presence known, resurfacing at inopportune, infrequent intervals which were, if anything— unpredictable.
"Quiet, there isn't any time for your petty antics. Remove yourself from my office, that isn't a request—do not test my patience."
