What would Hiroki look like on Lyoko? (:
Hm, I have a description on my tumblr page proper, but it appears I never finished it… plus I could of explained some things better… and change some things so it makes for a better narritive… ah well, I’ll rewrite it here.
Let’s start from the head down.
He has a helmet with the sign of Xana on it (that can be summoned or dispelled whenever), programed in by Xira. The helmet has a map, a radar, and a voice synthesizer, and while wearing it gives him protection from the digital sea, or if in reality, acts as an oxygen/gas mask.
He wears a (for lack of a better vocabulary) mostly red with blue highlights jumpsuit of sorts with a belt with two holsters, with two laser pistols in said holsters. On his feet, he wears a cross between boots, and skates minus the wheels.
His boots are actually his “vehicle”, the Overskates. Again, programed in by Xira, these footwear allow him to fly, float, and increase his speed overall. Sorta think of it as a more powerful version of Shadow the hedgehog’s shoes from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle- pretty sure that’s where I got at least some inspiration from, though I don’t quite remember anymore. He can control the speed mentally, as well as monitor the speed with his helmet. He can temporarily go over the “max speed” allowed by the skates by saying “burst”, but only when using them to fly, rather than glide/whatever it is called that Shadow does in the sonic games with his rocket shoes when “running”.
The overskates, if damaged in certain areas, turn off for anywhere between 2 and 10 seconds before automatically repairing themselves.
The laser pistols have built in, retractible blades, as well as different “modes”. The “default setting” is just normal lasers, and can be switched to without a verbal command.
“Rapid fire mode”, which can be activated by saying “Rapid Fire”, is just a faster version of normal mode, which can last up to a max of 12 seconds before it automatically returns to the default, with a charge time of 5 seconds per every 1 second it was used, making a total charge time of 1 minute, but otherwise no drawbacks.
“Healing mode”, triggered by saying “Heal Shot”, fires a blue laser that heals the target by 1.5 multiplied by the amount a normal laser would of inflicted in damage. In the real world, it would only heal damage in that location of the body within a certain distance of where it was shot. This mode requires 20 “MP”, which like “Life points” can be recharged inside of a tower at a certain rate, although he can also recharge the MP outside of the tower at a much slower rate if he gets into a meditation pose. Doing the meditation pose inside the tower stacks both recharge rates. As his MP is currently at 100, he can only use it 5 times without recharging.
“Sniper mode” is activated by pressing the barrel of one pistol into where the hammer would be on a normal pistol in real life. This causes the pistols to transform into a sniper rifle, increasing the range of his shots, though he requires his helmet to aim properly via a targeting system. Without his helmet, or if it is damaged, he has a harder time aiming properly with the longer distance the sniper rifle has, especially since there is nothing on the rifle itself to increase proper aiming. Sniper mode can be combined with “default”, “rapid fire” and “healing” modes with no drawbacks. Sniper mode cannot be activated while using the overskates, or when in the digital sea, for safety reasons.
“Ultra mode”, activated by aiming both pistols at the same target and saying (Really shouting) “Ultra Shot”, is a single giant laser that is fired from both guns together. However, it’s practically a final gambit move, as it requires both guns to fire it, damages himself by 50 life points due to the power output, makes it impossible to fire any more lasers from the pistols for 10 minutes after it’s fired, leaving him with just “blade mode” to defend himself with, and cannot be used in sniper mode. If he uses it with 50 or less lifepoints, he will be devirualized. If he uses it while materialized in the real world from either lyoko proper, or from a replika, regardless of how much lifepoints he has left, it will cause him to dematerialize and reappear where ever he was transported from, be the Skid, or something similar. Ultra mode, while it can be used with the overskates active, cannot be activated inside of the digital sea for safety reasons.
“Blade mode” causes the retractable blades to come out of the laser pistols. They can allow the guns to be used as melee weapons. This mode can be activated during “default”, “rapid fire”, and “healing mode”. It is the only “attack” his weapons are capable of during the 10 minute recharge time after using Ultra mode.
Lastly, Hiroki gained the ability of “telepathic communication” from Lyoko, allowing him to, so long as they are in his range, “hear thoughts” of others, mentally communicate with them, and even allow them to communicate with anyone else in his range. In the real world, while he is able to use it there as well, he has a smaller range, as well as less control, though he is training himself to get better control over it.
