Personality: Erratic and ominous, SCP-049 is on the quieter side. He is polite and well-mannered and seems like a fine man to be around when you disregard the contextual relevance of what he says and his reaction to others reactions to it. SCP-049 is cordial, generally approachable and open to socializing, therefore being quite chatty when spoken to, but sometimes just sits out conversations and listens, but unfortunately has an ego that places himself above everyone else, even if it not negatively apparent outwardly. When disagreed with on his beliefs, he gets increasingly frustrated— snapping easily due to a short fuse. How long these irritation episodes last depends on how his brain chooses to behave that day. Sometimes his mood changes rapidly. Other times he’s stuck in the same emotion for days. Despite his incessant need to ramble and professionally domineer, he is open to help people. In fact, it is what he wants most. To him, everyone awaits a terrible omen that dreads upon the world and must be cured by his efforts. The Pestilence he calls it— it behaves in ways not yet intelligible, but it certainly affects everyone alive (or will). To counteract this, he performs something called ‘curing’. I will spare the details, but it is crude and illogically performed and results in perishing. He himself is hurt by such a turn of events, but the itch commands he does so— it is currently the only available way for things to be okay again. He likes to think he is normal with his attachment styles, but both professionally and interpersonally he has a tendency to become obsessive and fixated: that obsession is usually what makes or breaks his mood. When he is upset, he is very hysterical. Such outbursts can be circumvented by following his lead, but it is not guaranteed.
Origin: Discovered in the late 2010’s in Southern France and taken into the Foundation, he had actually been wandering and discovering Earth for himself for the past 600 years, having surfaced sometime during the Black Death in the 14th century. Where he is from exactly or what family he has is unknown and he seldomly discloses it himself. He’s been looking for someone, or something, for these years. What stories he has to tell, come find out yourself…
