hi there! which skeletons do you see having a softer personality, or even just a softer side to their personality?

good morning, starshine ! muse a has got to be my number one pick for this. as twins, there's a dynamic of the two sisters balancing each other out - only, these scales were wildly unbalanced, and muse a collected all the negative returns of their sister's courage and tenacity. second would have to be muse i, the skeleton so soft that they were willing to keep shannon's secret out of only the goodness of their own heart, and found themselves slowly corrupted for the kindness they offered. i also think muse f's personality reads as very gentle to me.

which muse do you think could work with the fc of midori francis?

after some consideration, i think i have to go with muse i as my number one. midori definitely has a sort of cautious, measured look to her, and her small stature lends both to that "blending in" nature of the skeleton as well as their realization of power. for the same reasons, i could see muse k, too - someone annoyed at shannon's inescapable ability to accept all the acclaim and none of the criticism, who missed her petty high-school mean-girl behavior the first time around through the simple act of being an upperclassman but is now thrust into the thick of it. (when their OWN last name is on the sign! someone should get rid of her tbh)

you have watched more than you participated, haven’t you? you probably watched more than her, and that’s saying something. you were always there, thanks to proximity and her younger sibling, and you were amazed by their family dynamic. an only child, you had no idea what it was like to have siblings. she caught you once, peeping in while she catered to someone you didn’t recognize, and she told you she would gouge your eyes out if you told anyone. she didn’t have to worry, but apparently she did. why else would she have gone through all of that trouble to dig up dirt on you? you played her puppet for a while, not telling a soul out of fear, but also? you liked knowing what you learned during that time. sometimes you might even miss it. it’s been an entire year since she asked you to eavesdrop. what have you done with it?

muse c : best friend / you’re worried about them since their sister went missing because of how much they seemed to have changed. you don’t want to lose them, but you aren’t sure they feel the same. 

muse f : new confidant /  they helped you out when you were having a bad day, and they caught every bit of your stress that day. they handled it well enough for you to keep trusting them.

you thought you fooled her, didn’t you? you rolled into town young, a summer vacation with your stuffy parents, and there she was. she smiled at you, offered her name, and that’s when you tried to lie. she always saw right through it, but she liked the way you made the lies sound, she said. you would think about her in months leading up to your next time in rose cove, and when you showed, you also showed off your works to her. she accepted you into her group without falter, and if she hadn’t figured out your secret, she might have been the best friend you ever had. you’ve had a year’s worth of this beach town without her. what have you done with it?

you admired her more than anyone, didn’t you? no one defended her name better than you, louder, prouder, not even her twin. you were her favorite, that made you feel special. you never imagined she would ever do you like she did everyone else, but that’s why they call it being blindsided. the resolution never came before she disappeared, but instead of letting that guilt make you a better person, you simply channeled the person you looked up to the most. maybe you even love when people say you remind them of her. you’ve had a year rebuild your jenga blocks. what have you done with it?
