New Muse D

D, also known as Soldier D, is an alien monster from the manga Go! Go! Loser Ranger! aka Sentai Daishikkaku in Japanese.

D is one of an army of shapeshifting foot soldiers called Dusters who previously served monstrous overlords who tried to conquer the Earth, but a team known as the Ryūjin Sentai Dragon Keepers defeated these leaders and forced the foot soldiers to continue staging fake fights to lose to keep the Dragon Keepers popular.

D, sick of this farce, decided one day to leave the invader stronghold and infiltrate the Dragon Keepers disguised as a young human man, intent on destroying his enemies from the inside.

Yes, it's another animu anti hero. And D, while really good at putting on the heroic anime/manga hero act (you know, the rousing friendship speeches and all that) his actual personality is much more cynical and he has a lot of pent up anger after many years of playing the constantly-losing villain.

Portrayal will likely be a lil canon divergent since the manga's still ongoing, in fact many interactions may be outright AU. In human disguise form D appears to be between 17 and 20 and his mental age matches.

when was shannon reported missing, exactly? the day after the festival?

yes! so, muse d would have sounded the alarm to her friends (muses a, e, and f) pretty early on, then reached out to muse b and c, then eventually gone to shannon’s parents that next night, when she would have been reported missing to the police. so, the town would have woken up two days after the festival to the news that shannon had gone missing.

you thought you fooled her, didn’t you? you rolled into town young, a summer vacation with your stuffy parents, and there she was. she smiled at you, offered her name, and that’s when you tried to lie. she always saw right through it, but she liked the way you made the lies sound, she said. you would think about her in months leading up to your next time in rose cove, and when you showed, you also showed off your works to her. she accepted you into her group without falter, and if she hadn’t figured out your secret, she might have been the best friend you ever had. you’ve had a year’s worth of this beach town without her. what have you done with it?

you admired her more than anyone, didn’t you? no one defended her name better than you, louder, prouder, not even her twin. you were her favorite, that made you feel special. you never imagined she would ever do you like she did everyone else, but that’s why they call it being blindsided. the resolution never came before she disappeared, but instead of letting that guilt make you a better person, you simply channeled the person you looked up to the most. maybe you even love when people say you remind them of her. you’ve had a year rebuild your jenga blocks. what have you done with it?
