Song chosen [x]
Jack’s brother Declan had long gone upstairs to sleep after they closed up for the night. But Jack was with Star at one of the tables eating mozzarella sticks, and beer--a great late night mix. They’d let the jukebox play out as they spoke about their failed aspirations and hopes for the future. He hadn’t had one of those talks in a long time. But he loved the hell out of it. He did feel stuck sometimes having to tender a bar and put his dreams on hold. But, he had a big heart. It flat out refused to let him be selfish and sail away. His brother needed structure at least for a few more years, and if he still wanted to sell the business, he would.
Jack was usually the shy type. Never the one to actively instigate things unless he was sure of himself. One could say because it was so late, and he hadn’t had a conversation go this long with someone before, his confidence was pretty high right now. So when the song from Lighthouse started playing, he didn’t really care if it was cheesey, or if Star would turn him down. He just wanted to dance with her.
Getting up from the table, his dazed smile met hers, to help her off the stool she was sitting on. “Come on..” he started his bangs flopping over his eyebrows. His hand reached the lower part of back, and his fingers interlaced with her free hand. “You can’t tell me you can’t appreciate Lifehouse,” he teased lowly, though his gaze was more in the silent dedicated form.
MUN VS. MUSE
Er... Muses plural. I couldn’t pick one.

The Stowaway was once again filled to the brim with elite tourists and obnoxious residents. He was busying himself behind the bar keeping the glasses filled, while Star’s band was on stage keeping the customer’s entertained. They had negotiated a while back if her band had been successful enough on the nights they played, he’d help out in pitching in a portion of the liquor sales in that time period. So far, they were definitely delivering, so much so they were limited entry because of hitting capacity.
Once the night was winding down, the late crowd was sticking around, and the band was packing up. At a mere 10% capacity, Jack was already starting to clear out some of the tables at the far end corner, while his brother was tending the bar. He caught Star opening up her guitar case and he smiled over a her.
”Great set. Didn’t get to hear much at the beginning since it was too loud over there, but you guys finished strong.”

@theindieflash ;; Plotted starter feat. Jack Porter for Star Summers
It was such a beautiful day out, that Jack wanted to take his golden retriever, Sammy out for a walk at the park by the water. He was on the older side for dogs, so Jack wasn’t afraid of him being skiddish without a leash. As he threw him a ball, and Sammy brought it back for him, Jack was ready to throw it again. But, Sammy looked like he found something much more interesting and darted over to a woman under a tree. Galloping over to her to give her a few licks of a hello, as if she was some old friend. Jack immediately yelled, ‘Sammy no, come here!” before running after him, and apologizing profusely. “I’m sorry about that. He’s usually not this spontaneous. You alright?” he asked concerned.
I'm absolutely not planning any heartbreaking, angsty as fuck threads full of sorrow and woe.
April Fools. I am doing that.
