"I don't kill people, I hunt monsters. Like werewolves, zombies, youkai, etc. I try to keep the "bait" alive if I can. Letting another person die when I can do something about it is not what I'm about." Now she will put them in mortal danger to catch the monsters, just hope she's fast enough to dispatch them before they eat you.

What's the worst hunt Sumiko's been on?

"It would be the time my sister and I were called because of kuchisake-onna attacks were getting out of hand. So no big deal, find a woman with a surgical mask right?"

"Only it was the middle of flu season and everyone was masked up! Ahem, anyways we eventually had to team up with a local hunter, the one that had called us to help in the first place. This slit mouthed woman wasn't just maiming her victims, many of them were losing their lives. Very unusual for this kind of youkai, but we pursued the clues and trail she left."

"Eventually we come to find the lair and turns out it wasn't the kuchisake-onna after all, but a pack of ghouls that were feasting on the homeless and outsiders. The kind locals wouldn't miss or notice. The victims we had interviewed though, they were also ghouls, pretending to have been kuchisake victims."

The sisters managed to clean out the ghouls, and the hunter that was helping them? Turns out that was the kuchisake-onna herself! The one time they had to let the monster go, because she wasn't as bad as the growing nest of flesh-eating ghouls.

Sumiko, how do you feel about your sisters competent but at times himbo like personality. Always getting herself into odd spots, like somehow walking into a vampire's house without realizing it?

"I'd be more concerned if she wasn't my sister. We're both trained to handle dangers like that everyday, but I also wouldn't be a very good sister if I didn't worry." She had to sigh over the vampire house incident.

"She was lucky those vampires were so unprepared."

What's one of Noizumo's earliest memories while being under Marisa's care?

He ponders it deeply and thoughtfully, the way only a gentlesnake like him could ponder. It would be learning that Marisa likes to sing in the shower, like a siren she is. If you were to hear it, you too would crash head first into the rocks.

It was that very hex that Marisa believes took her life, but that was actually an unfortunate coincidence. The actual cost of the ritual is what affected her speech.
