@prebeat mistakenly said in a chat: drowsy doesnt wake up w charles at his bedside cos hes too busy but charles does arrive fifteen mins later breathless cos he ran thru the hospital
The world surrounding Drowsy is both blurry and blinding, and despite the strange numb sensation in his body, there is a visceral pain thrumming throughout his whole existence. He wants to scream as the agony begins to become more prominent, but the only sound that comes out is a pathetic whine.
The nurses come in and say something, but there's a high-pitched ringing in his ears that muffles the sounds of the world.
Eventually, whatever the hospital staff does to aid him helps him calm down, but he's clearly in no pleasant place. As he attempts to recall how he ended up in such a sorry state, bits and pieces begin to rise to the service until the flashes of Charles, masked fighters, Ka Spa, and an explosion become one cohesive memory.
And just like that, Drowsy's heart plummets as the realization that not only were most of his men brutally murdered, but so was his father.
He stares blankly at the ceiling above him, trying to figure out both how and why he's one of the only ones to make it out alive.
Did Charles even make it? He should be okay. He was far enough away. He has to be okay... right?
