plot: jack is a social butterfly, who seems to know everything about everyone, which includes y/m aka his new neighbor
there was nothing jack loved more than living in new york. he’d be the first to admit he romanticized the city more than he should, but hey, it’d make his life boring if he didn’t. he liked riding the train and people-watching. he loved the way everyone gathered out in the streets on a beautiful day. exploring the city blocks and finding new spots let him wander. to put it simply: he lived life wandering like an unattended dog.
he remembered faces. he remembered stories. hell, he knows mrs. maria’s daughter, from the italian place in brooklyn, is expecting a baby girl in the summer. he knows his seamstress has a grandson who recently took up rowing. most importantly, he knows that his new neighbor is new to the city. how? jack never shuts up.
it’s why he’s so confident stopping in the stairwell to spark up conversation. the navy tie around his neck was only loosened a bit, his blazer wrinkled from a day of work and wandering until the moon sat steady in the dark city sky. he looked every bit of a yuppie bastard, slightly douche-y with a backwards cap on his head.
“you’re the new neighbor from across the hall.” there wasn’t a hint of question or doubt in his tone; he knew exactly where they resided. “i’m happy mark chose you. god, the last guy who lived there blasted metal at 3 a.m. real inconsiderate to cindy in 3c; she has twins. they’re so adorable.”
suddenly growing aware of his rambling, a dopey grin spread across his face. too charming for his own good. his hand outstretched itself in the space between them, offering a polite handshake as a proper greeting to combat the sudden word vomit he’d bombarded them with. “james…but everyone calls me jack — jackjack, according to the twins, and my nieces and nephews.”
8.Malabar Gum for Liara, you can decide who's blowing!
Liara felt a strange sensation within her for some reason, she couldn't put her finger on it...she hadn't eaten anything that would cause her to feel bloated! But a sudden pain in her stomach gave way to a surge in roundness, making the Asari gasp and drop the datapad she'd been reading! The feeling stopped, and she looked down at her rounder belly. "By the Goddess...what's caused this?" She poked at her belly, which felt slightly elastic despite the tightness within her. Then, suddenly again, her belly surged outwards once more, accompanied by what sounded like the hissing of air.
Her outfit began to strain, it was a fairly form fitting dress that definitely wasn't designed to stretch this much in one place, a couple of seams popping at the sides as the material was pulled forwards. Once again, a brief lull in the growth gave her a few moments to look around frantically, unsure what could be causing this. Then, the biggest growth yet, her dress tearing down the front this time, revealing her blue belly and the deep navel at its centre. "Goddess, I need to try and get help!" She tried to get up, but she found herself unable to! Her hips were now widening as well as her enormous belly...but that wasn't all either, for her rear and chest were now starting to growth in each surge, which was going on for longer each time! "So tight...what's happening to me?!"
Meanwhile, Jack was sat across the room, completely oblivious to the chaos her bubblegum was causing. She was engrossed in the music she was listening to, no idea that each bigger bubble she blew was creating and even bigger one behind her~
OPEN TO: M, F, NB, 30+
PLOT: Give me spy-themed vibes! Enemies-to-lovers, rival colleagues working for the same spy organization, partners who are insanely competitive, or a rookie to Jack's established spy. Just any vibe!
MUSE: Jacqueline "Jack" Devereux, She/Her, 34, Cold and cynical, prone to snobbery and putting work over everything. Sharp and difficult, but incredibly capable.
"You have a tell." Jack notes, voice low and clinical as she settles her drink on the bar. "Whenever you lie, you always break eye contact." Being observant, noting the slight changes in one's mood - it's what makes her a great agent. Not good, but great. It's a point of pride, used to her advantage when she assesses the person seated across from her. "So let's try this again. What are you doing in Paris? Because it sure as shit isn't to wear a beret and eat croissants." It's asked without temperament, cold and meticulous. Her hand playing with the stem of her wine glass, listless and demanding.
Jack had finished up his class for the morning before seeing someone lingering in the classroom after the lecture. He still had a few hours before he had to teach the next class so he figured he would stay in case there were any questions and get some work done. He was going to say something before seeing the other departing.
He headed to his office and set his things down. The temperature seemed a bit warmer in his room so he made sure to cool it down with a flick of his wrists. Hearing the knock on the door, he called out to whoever was there. “It’s open. You can come in.”
@thetimelordvictorious liked for a starter from Jack Harkness
“Well look who decided to show up at the best damn time.” Jack had gotten himself in a bit of trouble on his travels, then again he was a most mischievous guy and starting fights was all too much fun. But this time his trouble had lead him to being a wanted criminal on this alien planet. Yes he was immortal and would come back from the assassination attempt, that didn’t make dying any less painful!
