"You know what, I love the way you think!" Tessa admitted, giving the other a soft smile. "Celebrating sounds fun, I haven't had a chance to go out in so long though, I might be a little rusty. What should we do?"

“Maybe we should go out for a drink or something? Something fun! You know?” Kate says excitedly. It had been a long time since she was able to be out and about without being bored.

solas needed to feel the power he once felt again. even when he tried and focus to his full extent, his magic was nothing near what it was. “come on, there has to be something.” the quiet of the graveyard at night had given him the space he needed, and it was the only place he could think of that would strengthen the connection. when he still only had partial connection, his fist connected with the ground in frustration. “damn this place.” a cold sensation picked at his neck and he turned around at the feeling. despite the other seeing him in such a state, he thought the best course of action was to remain calm. “forgive me, i did not think others would be here at this time of night. the mysteries of this new world are frustrating to everyone i imagine.” he noted, a half-truth to his current frustrations.

Peter had still not had a grasp on his powers yet either. Magic was coming back to him rather slowly. It took a while for him to even realize who he was. He felt different though, from what he was. "You think you are the only one to come here to practice magic? It's a cemetery. It's the best place to do so if you don't want to end up hurting someone."

"I am not one to brag....well much, but look at this. Isn't this the most beautiful you've ever seen." Tessa chuckled, giving a soft smile. "I managed to get all of my work done for the week and now I get to coast for the last few days till the weekend. My boss is gonna be so happy."

Peter noticed the other looking rather...not in order. "Um actually no. I figured you might need these." He grabbed the napkins off his own tray of food and offered it to the other. "Bad day I assume? Those can suck. Not always a good time. But not the worst thing that could happen yeah?" He gestured at the spill on their shirt.

"Thanks... not really sure it'll do much at this point" likely just rub it in more. Though it was the thought that counted, least that's people here seemed to say. "Bad grip, rather than a bad day" not that he could do much about it, Hydra wasn't here, and he didn't overly want to talk to them about it either. "There's always worse things, but that doesn't make it less of an annoyance".

“Right…that’s a mechanical hand isn’t it?” Peter asks as he finally took a chance to actually notice it. “How did you get one of those? Were you in a war or something?” The younger asked curiously.

“So what if I am sleeping? I can always wake up and put it out. Material possessions do not matter much to me my love. No matter what it is we can always work through or figure it out together. And if it is as bad as you try to make it sound maybe moving in would be even better since you will have someone to help watch if something were to happen.” Jack tried to reason with him. “We can always do a test phase too to make you more comfortable with the idea.”

"But what if you don't wake up? Or I light the bed on fire in our sleep and burn you? Or.." His mouth snapped closed, realizing he was spiraling a little and worrying too much. It was in these moments that he remembered why it was so impossible that this god-like being next to him should at all want to be with him. He bit his thumbnail as he thought, staring into the middle distance for a moment as he zoned out before looking up again sharply. "Test phase? What would that look like?"

“It would be fine because I can heal myself from whatever happens. It takes a lot to hurt a being like myself.” Jack reassures him. “Test phase so you move in for maybe a week or two and see how you like it. Of course you are still able to go home any time you want to but majority of your time you would be here. Does that make sense?”

Peter was not one to really want to do anything to do with halloween but he figured a corn maze might actually be fun. It always used creativity and he thought he could scare some people while in there but there wasn't as many people as he thought there would be. "Okay I admit it was a good idea. Getting lost wasn't that bad."

"Getting lost never is" least she didn't think it was. She had to become so lost in order to find herself. That might be getting a little too off the point though. "These sort of events are usually worth it. Though I have a very bad sweet tooth, and there's just so much candy here, it's great".

“I do not have such a problem with sweet food I suppose that is a good thing though. I hear that candy and all those other sweets can be rather addicting.” He tells her. “Although funnel cake is a rare exception for me. I can have a little of that and be happy.”

“What do you mean your fire isn’t safe? I think my powers can more than handle anything you have. I haven’t had issues with fire before and this way we can work on it together. You shouldn’t have to feel like you have to do this all alone.” He tells him with a worried look.

Taking the others hand he looked at Aiden. “You don’t have to worry about the house I have a lot of them actually so really it wouldn’t be an issue. I am pretty handy at fixing things you know.”

"It's fire. It catches on things and burns and...all sorts of things. Fire isn't safe in general." Aiden wrung his hands together, nervous just thinking about it. "I'm sure, but what if you're sleeping? Or you die of smoke inhalation, or something. I don't know." Looking down, he fidgeted, not sure what the right thing to do is.

Looking up at him when he took his hand, Aidren bit his lip. "I still don't want to hurt your house. You should see my apartment, I'm definitely not getting a deposit back anytime soon."

Luck did not seem to be on his side today, and eventually he had headed out to get dinner. Which had to be one of those days when everyone else had decided to do the same thing. Least he had managed to sit down quickly enough, and then of course managed to spill sauce down his shirt, just as someone came over. Great, just great. "You want that seat don't you?" perhaps he should have just gone home, pot noodles were fine.

It was as close to home as Tara was sure was going to get. Perhaps they'd never done Halloween quite like this, but the feeling of magic and other spooky things being around was honestly more comforting then she could ever explain. Even if this witch costume was far from what she'd ever wear at home, but who needed to know that? Besides the corn maze was fun, "see, I said it would be worth coming down... even if we did get way too lost in there".

Ivy Cove wasn't a vault. It was far from it, but it also wasn't the wasteland and for that she was all the more grateful. From the moment her memories had returned, and despite the way things felt odd at times it was a place that appeared safe. Then again, what was safe? Stuck in those thoughts she almost didn't notice how much the place had filled up, turning toward the figure that had slipped into the seat across. Lucy didn't mind the company.

"You should have some of the pie. It is amazing." She glanced over at the figure. "Honestly, you have to be out of your mind to say no to pie. Or the shakes they have. Or this weird soup." She pointed at it. Soup. Simple as it was.

"I think I will pass on the soup. Pie sounds pretty good actually. What flavor is it though? I can be rather picky when it comes to what flavors I actually fancy." She tells the other.

"What? Hurt me? Jack, no." Aiden shook his head, frowning as the other started to blame himself. "No no, there's absolutely nothing wrong with you. You're perfect, really. It's not that it's just..." Aiden fidgeted with his hands for a minute, getting up the nerve to admit before he finally spoke softly. "I'm worried I'll fuck it up. I know you're an...ice deity or something, but my fire isn't...it's not safe. So if I'm gonna burn a house down I'd prefer to be the only one inside, you know?"

Aiden looked startled, surprised by the change in conversation as well as by the offer. "I, um...what? You want to live with me. Jack, I don't know.." Looking down at his hands, he bit at his lip, wanting to say yes but also deeply concerned about burning jack's house down on accident. Yes his boyfriend had ice powers but, he knew from experience how fast he could ruin things. "I do want to, but let me think about it? I..it's been awhile since I lived with someone else."

You can still do whatever you want to do.” He tells the other confused a little why Aiden might be hesitant about living together. It’s not like they didn’t know each other. He wasn’t a horrible roommate or at least he didn’t think he was…

ivy cove hardly has the same magic or ambience as new orleans, at least in klaus's opinion. he misses the feel of the french quarter, waking up in the abattoir every morning and knowing that the city was his. but most of all, he misses rousseaus, however he supposes kings bar can be a sufficient replacement. after all, what choice does he have? he's been brooding over this all night, as empty glass after empty glass is replaced by another filled one. he can't feel anything, though. after being alive for over a thousand years, you tend to feel the effects less. he's been brooding so much that he doesn't notice somebody taking a seat beside him, the bar exceptionally busy tonight. he turns towards them with a one-sided smile. "are you sure you want to sit there?" there's no threat in his tone, but nobody can ever be sure with klaus.

Kate had been feeling a little adventurous as she made her way to the nearby bar. Sitting next to the gentleman where there was an open seat she couldn't help but hear his question. She couldn't help but smirk to herself. "Are you trying to tell me this seat is taken or are you trying to intimidate me?" She asks playfully.

"I'd say they're all good for the most part." The anxiety was intense sometimes, looking at the etherial god-being that had decided to give Aiden attention and worrying that he would fuck it up. But he tried not to end up on that downward spiral too often. He leaned in close and pressed a soft kiss to Jack's cheek, pleased to see him so happy. "Everything else? Oh, I suppose work's been alright. Keeping busy enough to pay the bills at least. And...that's honestly about it. Honestly when I'm not with you I'm either at work or at home."

“I have been thinking about it and we have been together a while now. Why don’t you move in with me?” He asks as he was careful so he could gauge the other’s reaction to his words. I can handle the bills and etc. I don’t have to really pay them given my powers and how old I am.” Jack explains as he looks at the other with a smile. “I mean if you think it is too soon we can wait too. I don’t want you to think you have to move in with me either it was just a suggestion.” He rambled slightly.

Aiden's eyes widened a little at the endearment, not expecting love to be said at all but knowing by the way his heart felt like it was flipping in his chest that he was delighted by it. "Your love huh?" He smiled softly, pressing another kiss to his lips before pulling away. "No, it's just how I am when I'm nervous or excited. You're...you make me feel a lot of things."

“Hopefully it is good things I make you feel for the most part.” Jack smiled happily. “Besides that, how has everything else been? I know you have been doing things other than hanging out with me, obviously. So anything fun?”

"I mean it's always nice when they are able to choose you. I have a dog myself. He is the most adorable corgi." Kate adds with a smile. "Did you want to see a picture of him?"

"It can be, though I think this little guy will be happier when he is back on the beach" and he was going to have to do his best to make sure he got him back in one piece. "Of course".

Kate took out her phone and pulled up a picture of her dog. “He is the best boy. But he can get into trouble sometimes as most dogs do.”
