Marisa - The guy with the hood by that grill, you say? He looks like their main cook, but maybe he’s multi-tasking just like how Mystia does it, ze. Wonder what he uses such a huge axe for anyway…

As you look again towards the hooded figure in front of the grill, you notice the double-sided axe he was using to chop firewood for the furnace before going back to work. He looks like he’s having a good time cooking food for the place.

Alice - You know it’s rude to make assumptions like that.

Aya - Pipe down, he’s noticed us! Act natural, but not naturally stupid.

Nitori - Why not?

Ran - Listen to the tengu. One wrong move could land us all on the local paper, and that could possibly jeopardize our whole investigation.

Head Cook - A large party comin’ in, eh? Get yourselves settled in at a table and I’ll be right over to take your orders!

Following the head chef’s instructions, you and the rest of your group find a large table to get seated. About 15 minutes passed since then, giving everyone time to figure out what to order. True to his word, he eventually came around to your table.

Head Cook - Sorry ‘bout the wait. *Ahem* Welcome to the Ten Elixir Tavern. My name’s Jackson and I’ll be your server and chef tonight. Can I start you off with some drinks?

Reimu - Green tea with a slice of lemon.

Marisa - I’ll take a round of that Legendary Elixir Special.

Alice - I’ll have some black tea with lemon and sugar cubes.

Youmu - I will have the same thing.

Rei - I’d like the lime soda.

Nitori - Can I get some water with cucumbers?

Aya - I’ll take the Multi Inferno Tower, extra sake.

Daiyousei - Just ice water for me. Can I also have a lemon slice with it please?

Renko - I’ll order the Lumberjack’s Smoothie.

Maribel - Make that two!

Ran - Lemonade, not too much ice.

The server and chef stares towards you.

“And what can I get for you tonight?”

A glass of iced water

Tea with lemon and sugar

A brand of soda you probably recognize

Coffee with cream and sugar

Something from the bar

A local favorite beverage, which you saw others around the tavern order

Jackson knew he should have ignored the card that was slipped so easily under the door of his own home. Forget about all about it and just focus on taking Thea trick or treating. He had done the latter, but instead of going home, he ended at the familiar bar, with the card inside his jacket pocket, heavy against his chest, like a ton of bricks. Whomever had sent the card knew where he lived, meaning they probably knew about his ex and daughter, so he had to figure out exactly what they knew. Surrounded my crowds was not his ideal night, but he had to make the best of it. Adorned on his head was a helmet with wings, since he had to be in the costume the card assigned him, and that was the most he’d dress up. He grabbed his pack of cigarettes before patting down his jacket in search of the zippo he held close to him, but came up empty, “hey you got a lighter?” He asked, turning to the person next to him.

Name Your Price

Jackson had gotten a call that the company had a new client for him to meet. A Dominant. Normally his clothes were casual, jeans and a t-shirt, but he always dressed up when meeting a new client not sure what their preferences were yet. He wore some cream colored slacks,  dress shoes, a dark blue button-up shirt, and a matching belt. 

He pulled into a parking spot and made his way into the building. Being a professional Switch was nice. It was flexible and with him being a right wing in the NHL as his main job, flexibility was something he needed. He didn’t do it because he needed money. Simply, Jackson just enjoyed being able to Dom and sub with no strings attached. 

“Hey,” he greeted with a smile and held out his hand to the other man. Wow was he attractive. “I’m Jackson. Are you the client I’m supposed to be meeting?” @kinksandvanilla

The day in court was tough. It finally looked like it was going Jacksons way. The guy might actually go to jail for a long, long time. And he deserved it. What he had done to these women, it disgusted him even now thinking of it. And he still had people on his side. Popularity did that for some people. He felt a sense of relief as he walked out with his client, a hand on her back to let her know he was there. As draining as the long day was for him, it was a lot more draining on her emotionally. He wanted her to feel like he was there for her - like he intended to. They barely made it through the crowd - the case was of public interest after all - when he heard the deafening sound. A shot. He’d heard it before. It was instinct. The hand on his clients back now pushed the woman to the ground. It was an instinctive reaction, protection for her. 

It was no protection for him. Pain erupted in his back as more and more shots rang out. He crawled over to his client, covered her with his body for what felt like hours. Only when he heard sirens he felt his muscles - he wasn’t even aware he tensed them - relax. And he felt the pain again. His client sat up. She turned him over and put pressure on his wound. It was then that he saw the entire thing: Injured people all around, some dead. Some son of a bitch had shot. He tried to concentrate on his client. “It’s going to be fine.” He tried to soothe her. But hell that wasn’t easy when a bullet had just ripped it’s way through his side.

After a while ambulances arrived. He allowed himself to close his eyes on the ride there, trying not to become sick from the shaking of the vehicle. Jackson still had trouble with that as he was wheeled into the hospitals emergency room. Amidst the chaos he finally saw something or someone he never expected: Gil.

“Gil?” He called out. Was he hallucinating?

Despite living most of his adult life under the impression that he was an only child of two idiot kids, he enjoyed his younger brother’s company, for the most part. However, he didn’t realize that when he said it was fine for Jude to crash at his place to get on his feet, six months ago, that he’d be surrounded by filth. Pressing the button on the coffee maker, his eyes glared at the mess in the sink his brother hadn’t cleaned up last night. It was the way his brother could be so clean, there wasn’t a trace of him in the apartment, and then it could easily flip and Jackson was tripping over his dirty laundry, “JUDE!” He yelled at his brother who had been quietly snoring on the couch.

Throwing the extinguished cigarette butt down, he smothered it with the tip of his boot for good measure. No reason to ruin a good fest with arson. He paced near the rides, his hands grasping at the glow in the dark accessories he had bought for Bells as he waited for her and Leyla. He could see a million different marks in his direct vision, so easy his mouth salivated at the thought of how much he could make with such little effort. Tonight though, he had to be on his best behavior or risk not being able to see Isabella. However, the thought of looting suddenly left his mind as he spotted his daughter and ex. He might have been an all around shitty person, one who truly didn’t contribute shit to the betterment of society, but the one thing that made it all okay was his little girl. She took after her mother in so many ways, but his eyes stared back at him, “Bells,” he grinned at her, pulling her from Leyla’s arms, into his own. Kissing her forehead as he smiled at her, he wondered how his own parents could have given him up so easily, when he had such a hard time seeing her only on scheduled visits. “Hey Ley,” he pulled her into his arms, giving her a half hug. She would have been the woman he married, had he not given into his primal impulses, but he was just happy to see his kid whenever he let him.

Jackson could feel the other man’s presence as he continued walking along the strip to the CVS. A small smirk stayed on his lips as he knew all about the man behind him. Malik Warren, a private investigator who had been looking into Jackson. For whom, he had no idea, but he knew the other man had been tailing him. Jackson was good at covering his tracks and he didn’t worry about the other. The automatic sliding doors opened for him as he walked into the brightly lit drugstore and looked at the anti-theft mirror, realizing his friend hadn’t joined him. Smirking, he walked back outside to face him, “you wanna come with me? I’m getting milk for my kid,” he offered.
