✗Keep moving
“We have to move. She’s only slowing us down.” Jordan recognized Ethan’s voice during the heated argument. “Your girl’s a freakin’ time bomb!” She wasn’t even fully awake yet when those words were stated by one of their current companion. Her entire body was still aching from the seizure a couple of hours ago, yet she forced herself to - carefully and unnoticed by the rest of them - sit up against the wall. He was right. Deep inside she knew that Ethan was right that she was a burden, not only for Tyler but the entire group.
Jo was aware that she owed him for surviving as long as she did by now since she’d ran out of her meds four days ago. There was only one option for her to repay Tyler before it was too late for him to have a chance to survive.
“Leave me behind.” She eventually interrupted the fighting men.
“If you suggest what I think you are suggesting, you better watch your words.” Tyler hissed to Ethan. The thing was he was the stunt man. He was the guy in this group that knew how to fight, how to use the weapons, how to off those creatures without being killed. And he was, by quite a margin, the one that could literally carry people. Others had far more problems. “If you suggest this one more time - ALL of you - I will cut your balls off and feed them to the biters! YOu got me? She is the brains of this! Sick or not, we need her.” He heard her whimper, yes, but chose to ignore what she said.
“Jo, zip it. We are NOT leaving you behind. We need you!” he needed her. “Not a chance. Before we leave you, we leave Ethan.”
