Backstory: Jake lived a pretty long and satisfying life, having gone on tons of adventures, became a father, and eventually moved onto whatever level of the afterlife was waiting for him after his death.
Jake had been born thanks to a pustule that was the result of of a bite that Joshua received after dealing with a shapeshifter out near Tree Trunk’s house. Despite the strange circumstances of his birth, Jake was taken in by Joshua and Margaret and raised alongside their biological son Jermaine.
His stretchy powers were the result of the biological relationship between him and the shapeshifter that bit his father, however Jake only learned about this later on his life and before then, he had believed that his powers were the result of him rolling around in the mud as a puppy. It was only when the shapeshifter (also known as Warren Ampersand) that he finally knew the truth of where he and his powers originated.
When Jake and Jermaine were still infants, Joshua and Margaret brought home a human boy named Finn that had been abandoned out in the middle of the woods. They raised the human child as if he were their own and, over the course of their childhoods, Finn and Jake developed a lifelong friendship that would follow them both through to the end of time.
Sometime after Joshua and Margaret’s death, Jake moved into the Tree Fort with Finn while Jermaine stayed back at their parent’s house. For a good while, Jake was known to be a successful criminal up until his retirement from crime all together to pursue more respectable career options. He became an adventurer alongside his adoptive brother Finn, and eventually after years of going on all these wacky adventures. Jake finally decided to settle down with his wife Lady Rainicorn, and became the proud papa of 5 magical puppies.
Extra info: Jake used to be really addicted to card wars, to the point where he would do anything to try and win. And if he lost, he would never speak to the person he lost to again out of petty jealousy. Jake stopped playing the game after he realized he was totally addicted to it and quit playing after he went to a public tournament with his daughter. He hasn’t touched the game since then and has sworn off playing card wars for the rest of his life.
Jake wears transparent pants made out of spider webs that were spun by pixies. They’re his favorite and only pair of pants.
Jake still looks back on the memories made in his parent’s house very fondly despite his father’s tough love and mother’s protective nature.
Jake really hates anything with a slimy texture, if he touches anything remotely slimy he’ll feel grossed out for the whole day and would keep wiping his hands off on his own fur.
Thanks to a wizard, Jake’s insides permanently smell like vanilla.
Jake loves playing the viola and would often make up his own songs when he gets bored.
Jake knows at least one Japanese phrase.
Jake is extremely arachnophobic and this is due to the spider that had bit him while he was trying to sneak out of Marceline’s house with Finn. He hasn’t forgiven the spider for doing that.
