Steve shook the man's hand.
"It's nice to meet you." He told him.
Then he followed him to the door and into the kitchen.
"The world is in trouble and I'm not sure what to do. Me and my team, we tried and failed." Steve began. "There's this guy, There's an alien and he wiped out half the population with a snap. Me and the others managed to bring them all back. Now we have to fight him and convince him to leave our planet alone. I was wondering if you would be up to fighting alongside us."
Clark led Steve to the kitchen and offered him a seat before sitting down himself. Out of habit he picked up the glasses he wore when not on the farm or flying around as Superman and began cleaning them. Listening to Steve explain the situation he already knew before the last sentence what his answer was.
"I've been dealing with the aftermath of that for a while now. Yes, I will help, if this guy wants to wipe out everyone again I can't sit back and let it happen." He knew Smallville, Metropolis, and the cities he usual saved were in good hands with the rest of the Justice League and even the civilian are great at stepping up in times of crisis; so if he were to go away for a few days it wouldn't be the end of his home. "I just need to let my wife know. Otherwise I will not hear the end of it when I get back."
