Skye Lovelace was a mess when it came to relationships, particularly since she hadn’t ever had the time to consider them until recently. The problem was that disappointing people didn’t come naturally to her, so she’d said yes to the first guy who had asked her out. Now she seemed to have found a surprising connection with his best friend; somebody she had much more in common with. “You know you should probably stop looking at me like that when we’re out in public, else somebody’s going to get the wrong idea,” Skye mumbled as they strolled along the beach, struggling to hide her smile.
